    Abstract: According to one embodiment, an electronic apparatus includes a sensor module, a second acceleration sensor and a controller. The sensor module includes a plurality types of sensors including a first acceleration sensor. The controller determines, before booting an installed operating system, whether the installed operating system is a first operating system or a second operating system. If the installed operating system is determined to be the first operating system, the controller boots the installed operating system after turning the sensor module on. If the installed operating system is determined to be the second operating system, the controller boots the installed operating system without turning the sensor module on.
