  • Patent number: 11828676
Abstract: The purpose of this invention is to provide an optical pulse testing method and optical pulse testing device capable of measuring the loss at an end farther than an axially misaligned connection point at which inter-mode crosstalk occurs independently from the crosstalk value at the point. In this optical pulse testing method, a matrix (loss and crosstalk) representing the mode coupling at a near-end connection point is calculated, and an OTDR waveform having the effects of crosstalk eliminated therefrom is obtained by numerical processing using the calculated matrix representing the mode coupling.

  • Patent number: 11785721
Abstract: First, a patterned substrate including an insulating substrate, a conductive seed layer, and an insulating layer is prepared. The seed layer is disposed on the insulating substrate, and consists of a first part having a predetermined pattern corresponding to the wiring pattern and a second part as a part other than the first part. The insulating layer is disposed on the second part of the seed layer. Subsequently, a metal layer having a thickness larger than a thickness of the insulating layer is formed on the first part of the seed layer. Here, a voltage is applied between an anode and the seed layer while a resin film containing a metal ion-containing solution is disposed between the patterned substrate and the anode and the resin film and the seed layer are brought into pressure contact. Subsequently, the insulating layer and the second part of the seed layer are removed.

Abstract: An electrode-misalignment detection device in a resistance welder that joins members together by holding them between opposing electrodes and applying pressure and electricity thereto includes an electrode misalignment detector that simultaneously approaches outer peripheries of both electrodes to detect misalignment thereof. The electrode misalignment detector includes a clamping member, a signal generator, a non-closed-state detector, and a misalignment determiner. The clamping member is movable toward the electrodes to clamp them from opposite radially outer sides and is settable in a predetermined closed state when the electrodes are located at appropriate positions. The signal generator outputs a movement state signal according to a movement state of the clamping member. The non-closed-state detector detects that the clamping member is in a state other than the predetermined closed state based on the movement state signal.
