  • Publication number: 20220176506
Abstract: A tool storage includes a tool receiver, a tool magazine, and a tool carriage. The tool receiver is provided on a one side of a machine tool with respect to a workpiece holder of the machine tool along a machine tool direction and is configured to receive a tool from an outside of the machine tool. The tool magazine is provided on another side opposite to the one side with respect to the workpiece holder along the machine tool direction. The tool carriage is configured to carry the tool between the tool receiver and the tool magazine.

  • Patent number: 4435998
Abstract: A ring roller is mounted on an input shaft by a left-hand thread so that when the shaft is rotated in the clockwise direction the sun roller tends to unscrew along the shaft. The sun roller thus drives planet rollers axially along the shafts on which they are rotatably supported into a ring roller which is mounted on an output shaft by a left-hand thread so that it tends, upon being driven in a counter-clockwise direction by the planet rollers, to screw onto the output shaft. The axial movement of the sun roller ceases upon a suitable preloading between the sun, planet and ring rollers' being established.

  • Patent number: 4183420
Abstract: A pump or generator is connected to the drive shaft of a vehicle to induce a braking effect not provided by the twin shaft gas turbine powering the vehicle. The output of the pump or generator is stored and used to drive the compressor of the turbine in place of fuel during coasting and/or idling of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 4167851
Abstract: An energy producing device is driven by a motor vehicle equipped with a gas turbine engine to produce an energy stored and concurrently to give an engine braking effect to the engine to provide a braking force to decelerate the vehicle and the supply of fuel to a combustion chamber of the engine is stopped during coasting of the vehicle and during idling of the engine and the stored energy is employed for rotation of a compressor and a power turbine of the engine in lieu of fuel during coasting of the vehicle and during idling of the engine.

  • Patent number: 3970163
Abstract: Poor torque characteristics especially at low and intermediate speeds of a single shaft gas turbine engine is compensated for by the motor torque of a motor-generator having its armature directly coupled with the turbine shaft of the engine. The turbine shaft is connected through a reduction gear to a hydraulic torque converter followed by a forward-reverse gearbox to drive vehicle wheels.
