  • Publication number: 20230048335
Abstract: Infectious diseases may be acquired in public areas such as transportation terminals, shopping centers, schools, hospitals, restaurants and hotels. Large surface areas may be disinfected using a spray system to distribute a suitable fluid such as a disinfectant. Many existing spray systems are large and unwieldy causing operator fatigue. Some spray systems have large, heavy external tanks that provide fluid to the spray system using an external fluid hose. Disclosed is an improved portable spraying system that may be carried by a system operator. The improved system has a tank, a quick connect, a pump, a valve, a nozzle, and a fan all powered by a battery. The tank, the pump, and the battery are arranged to minimize operator fatigue. With the valve set to the priming position, fluid recirculates to prime the pump. Once the pump is primed, the valve is turned to the spray position to begin spraying. The quick connect allows an external tank such as a backpack tank to be connected to the sprayer.

  • Patent number: 10205410
Abstract: Disclosed is a sheet repositionable that is attracted to a nearby object by electrostatic charges. The sheet requires no pressure sensitive adhesive to stick to the object. The sheet is attracted to the nearby object by electrostatic charges on the sheet. The sheet has a first surface and a second surface. The electrostatic charges may be on the first surface, on the second surface, or on both the first surface and the second surface. The electrostatic charges have both a magnitude and a polarity that can be either positive or negative. The charges on the sheet may be all positive, the charges may be all negative, or the sheet may have regions of positive electrostatic charges and regions of negative electrostatic charges. In each case, the magnitude of the charges is sufficient to attract the sheet to the nearby object. Once the sheet is in contact with the object, electrostatic charges causes the sheet to stick to the object.

  • Publication number: 20140078637
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for neutralizing static charges on a web exiting an unwinding roll are disclosed. The apparatus comprises two static dissipaters. The first static dissipater is positioned to neutralize static charges on the outside surface of the unwinding roll. The second static dissipater is positioned to neutralize static charges on the inside surface of the web. The method comprises neutralizing static charges on the outside surface of the roll using a static neutralizer, separating the web from the roll at an unwinding nip, and subsequently neutralizing static charges on the inside surface of the web using a static neutralizer. Disclosed also are the apparatus and the method adapted for a roll that may be unwound in either the clockwise or in the counter-clockwise direction and from an unwind turret having a first spindle in a load position and a second spindle in a run position.

  • Patent number: 5950169
Abstract: A system and method for managing and processing insurance claims is provided that implements an object oriented graphic user interface. The system includes at least one remote computer for entering and viewing insurance claim information. A wide area network capable of communicating with the remote computer and a computer in communication with said wide area network are also included. An insurance datafile, generated at said remote computer, is transferrable over the network. The method includes the steps of transmitting a claim assignment from an insurance office computer to a mailbox in a communications server, retrieving the assignment at a remote computer and generating an insurance claim datafile containing all data pertinent to an insurance claim and allowing for bidirectional transmission of the datafile over a wide area network. A graphic user interface for use in managing an insurance claim from an initial claim to final settlement is also included.
