Patent number: 11392874Abstract: A method, apparatus, system, computer program product, and online collaboration tool provide the ability to track a theatrical media content asset in post-production. A title for the theatrical media content asset is initiated in an online global planning system by creating one or more archival versions. Each of the archival versions represents a cut of the theatrical media content asset that is stored in a vault. A presentation version, that is based on a single unique archival version, is created and represents a localized version of the single unique archival version. Areas of the archival version that are required for localization are identified. Requests to release the presentation version are managed and processed. Milestones representing events that are or have been performed on the title are created, and the completion statuses of the milestones are tracked.Type: GrantFiled: September 20, 2019Date of Patent: July 19, 2022Assignee: Fox Digital Enterprises, Inc.Inventors: Garrett Vincent-McKay Boss, Giles A. Pretty, Jennie P. Ho, Nikolaus Kelly Ward, Niravkumar G. Majmudar

Patent number: 8803887Abstract: A computer graphic system and methods for simulating hair is provided. In accordance with aspects of the disclosure a method for hybrid hair simulation using a computer graphics system is provided. The method includes generating a plurality of modeled hair strands using a processor of the computer graphics system. Each hair strand includes a plurality of particles and a plurality of spring members coupled in between the plurality of particles. The method also includes determining a first position and a first velocity for each particle in the plurality of modeled hair strands using the processor and coarsely modeling movement of the plurality of modeled hair strands with a continuum fluid solver. Self-collisions of the plurality of modeled hair strands are computed with a discrete collision model using the processor.Type: GrantFiled: January 15, 2010Date of Patent: August 12, 2014Assignee: Disney Enterprises, Inc.Inventors: Aleka McAdams, Andrew Selle, Kelly Ward, Eftychios Sifakis, Joseph Teran

Publication number: 20090000762Abstract: Disclosed is a regenerative heat exchanger including a brush-seal configuration to prevent mixing of fluid flows. The regenerative heat exchanger includes a regenerator, and at least two conduits, each conduit having a matrix end abutting a face of the regenerator matrix. The at least two conduits carrying at least two fluid flows, the fluid flows which pass through the regenerator matrix. The regenerative heat exchanger includes a plurality of brush-seals, each brush-seal located at a matrix end of each conduit without contacting the matrix, thereby sealing around a periphery of each conduit to prevent mixing of fluid flows. Also disclosed is a method for establishing a minimal gap between a regenerator matrix of a regenerative heat exchanger and a plurality of brush-seals.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 29, 2007Publication date: January 1, 2009Applicant: WILSON TURBOPOWER, INC.Inventors: David Gordon Wilson, Jon M. Ballou, Kelly Ward

Patent number: 5158415Abstract: A suspension system for brake calipers wherein two brake rods pass through two plates so that the brake rods are aligned parallel to each other. The barke rods are longer than the distance between the two plates so that the ends of the brake rods extend away from the two plates far enough to hold brake calipers in place about the brake discs. Each brake rod further includes compression springs mounted thereon and located between the plates so that when the appropriate spring are compressed, the corresponding ends of the brake rods can be withdrawn from their position holding the caliper. This allows easy and convenient access to the calipers for removal.Type: GrantFiled: October 9, 1991Date of Patent: October 27, 1992Assignee: Sioux Steel CompanyInventors: Robert E. Hardy, Troy W.
