  • Patent number: 6334759
Abstract: A valve housing of the control valve has a communication passage communicating a suction port of the compressor with a crank chamber of the compressor. A main valve is provided in the valve housing for opening and closing the communication passage. A spring member resiliently biases the main valve toward its closed position. A pressure actuated unit moves the main valve toward the open position by receiving a suction pressure of the compressor. A flow adjustment valve is disposed in the valve housing for adjusting an open degree of a leak passage and receives the discharge pressure exerting a force on the flow adjustment valve toward its closed position. The flow adjustment valve increases a leak flow rate of a fluid flowing from a discharge port of the compressor to a crank chamber through a leak passage when the compressor provides a lower discharge pressure. A correction spring is disposed between the main valve and the flow adjustment valve.

  • Patent number: 6065943
Abstract: A refrigerant compressor having a drive shaft rotatable to cause compression of a refrigerant gas, and a drive power transmission unit for transmitting a drive power from an external drive power source to the drive shaft, the drive power transmission unit having a pulley freely rotatably mounted around the drive shaft, a power transmitting element fixed to the drive shaft, and a shock absorbent rubber element arranged between the pulley and the power transmitting element for providing a positive engagement between the rubber element and the pulley, and between the rubber element and the power transmitting element.

  • Patent number: 6036447
Abstract: A control valve used in a variable displacement compressor. A valve chamber port communicates with a valve chamber. A port is connected with the valve chamber by a valve hole. A valve body selectively opens and closes the valve hole for controlling flow of fluid between the ports. An actuator actuates the valve body. A coil bobbin is accommodated in the casing. A coil is wound about the bobbin. The bobbin contacts a first connector plate. A ground lead of the coil is connected to the first connector plate. A terminal is connected to a supply lead of the coil. A second connector plate is attached to a lid. The second connector plate faces the first connector plate. Flexible contacts are located between the first connector plate and the second connector plate to electrically connect the connector plates.

  • Patent number: 5890876
Abstract: A control valve in a compressor that adjusts the discharge displacement based on controlling of an inclination of a cam plate. The compressor includes a supply passage for connecting a discharge chamber with a crank chamber. The control valve is placed midway on the supply passage for adjusting the amount of the gas introduced into the crank chamber from the discharge chamber. The control valve has a valve hole and a valve chamber respectively disposed midway on the supply passage. A valve body is located in the valve chamber to adjust the opening size of the valve hole. A reacting member reacts to the pressure in the first area. The reacting member moves the valve body via a first rod in accordance with the pressure in the first area. A solenoid is opposed to the reacting member with respect to the valve body. The solenoid has a fixed core, a plunger and a plunger chamber.
