  • Patent number: 6547528
Abstract: A system for remote-controlling a fire pump with a simple wiring construction is provided, being capable of conducting various kinds of control and display. The fire pump control system has an engine, a fire pump, an internal control apparatus, at least one external control apparatus located away from the fire pump including the internal control apparatus, and a twisted pair line for connecting the external control apparatus with the internal control apparatus. The internal and external control apparatuses form a network through the twisted pair line so as to control the fire pump through telecommunications from the external control apparatus. This network uses a p-CSMA system for communicating data, so that a high level of remote control can be carried out, with monitoring an operation state of the fire pump.

  • Publication number: 20030051082
Abstract: A noise reducing method for a radio portable terminal having a radio section for transmitting and receiving radio data, a CPU (Central Processing Unit), connected to the radio section and incorporating a cache, for performing predetermined data processing, and an external memory connected to the CPU, reads an internal operation program runnable only in the CPU from the external memory and stores the internal operation program in the cache prior to reception of the radio data, and then executes only the internal operation program. In this manner, this method suppresses access to the external memory, thereby reducing noise.

  • Patent number: 6529711
Abstract: When a request for reception of radio signals is delivered by wireless communication section 3, subordinate processing portion 12 fetches programs necessary for reception of radio data from external memory 2 and stores them into command cache memory 13. At this instant, to prevent data stored in command cache memory 13 from being altered by other interrupt requests, the system instructs interrupt controller 16 to mask all interrupt requests except urgent ones. Through this arrangement it is possible to reduce noise during execution of a specific processing, particularly during reception of data.

  • Publication number: 20030031462
Abstract: A time stamping part and a packet storing part are separated from each other. To simplify data transfer from the time stamping part to the packet storing part, the time stamping part adds time information after a captured packet, and outputs the packet directly through a port for the packet storing part. The packet storing part captures all packets sent from the time stamping device regardless of their destinations, thereby preventing the time stamping part from performing extra processing.

  • Publication number: 20020075853
Abstract: A communication system is provided of selecting the most approximate line from two or more connectable lines and connecting with a provider through the selected line in the mobile communication environment. The mobile device and the public phone of each phone company provide a standard wireless data communication facility, respectively. The public line pre-stores information about dial-up numbers of access points and a transmission speed of an internet provider. When the user starts the communication, the mobile device operates to obtain the most approximate access point information from each of the public phones and then dial up the most approximate access point through the public phone/line well-specified to the user.

  • Patent number: 6381476
Abstract: In a portable radio terminal having a liquid crystal display, when a radio data receiving period overlaps the timing of outputting a liquid crystal alternating signal to the liquid crystal display, the outputting of the liquid crystal alternating signal is deferred until the radio data receiving period ends, whereby the angle of the liquid crystal is not inverted until the radio data receiving period ends. Therefore, during the radio data receiving period, there does not occur a noise caused because of the inversion of the angle of the liquid crystal, with the result that the receiving sensitivity is not deteriorated.

  • Patent number: 6282616
Abstract: With respect to a data transfer over a network, data is stored in each cache of the network and the retrieving processing following the second retrieving processing is executed by using a cache, thereby resulting in a transfer amount being decreased. Statistics information of a data transfer over the network is obtained. When transfer data is stored in a low-speed storage such as a disk, only data of high access frequency is stored and data of low access frequency is discarded, thereby solving such a problem that a speed of a disk apparatus becomes a bottleneck.

  • Patent number: 6101611
Abstract: When a judgment request is output, a judging means outputs a remaining battery capacity calculation request F, in response to which a remaining capacity calculating means outputs a request for detection of the voltage, which is required to calculate the remaining battery capacity. In response to this voltage detection request, a voltage detection means detects the voltage of a power supply, and output the result of this voltage detection. In response to this voltage detection result, the remaining battery capacity calculating means calculates the remaining battery capacity, and outputs the results of this calculation, in response to which a judging means judges whether or not there is sufficient power supply capacity remaining for operation with respect to a startup request, and outputs a judgment result. If this judgment result was that execution is possible, an execution means executes the requested operation.

  • Patent number: 6006213
Abstract: A learning method for performing a method of inductively learning rules from machine data, and a method for analyzing an inference process to learn rules useful for increasing efficiency by a common program are provided. Data desired to be classified is converted into a graph and is then input. The course of process by a computer is also converted into a graph and is then input. Then, patterns appearing in the input graph are extracted and patterns having a good evaluation result are output. The patterns are converted into rules for classification and rules for high-speed operation in accordance with a kind of the input graph, and are output.
