  • Publication number: 20100086201
Abstract: The colorimetric values of a plurality of reference color patches formed on a specific medium are measured at a plurality of temperatures, and a temperature characteristic LUT in a colorimetric value temperature correction unit is created based on the colorimetric values. Upon creating a calibration LUT, a patch based on arbitrary device values is formed on the medium, and a patch temperature and colorimetric values are acquired immediately after fixing of that patch. A correction target temperature as a temperature upon observation of the medium is, for example, fixed, the colorimetric values are corrected by interpolation processing based on the temperature characteristic LUT to obtain colorimetric values, and a calibration LUT is created based on the colorimetric values.

  • Publication number: 20100053647
Abstract: A first color patch printed on a first printing material and a second color patch printed on a second printing material, which match each other in appearance in a desired environment, are acquired. The calorimetric values of a color patch to be measured which is printed on the first printing material are corrected using the calorimetric values of the first and second color patches and a spectrophotometric calorimeter for obtaining calorimetric values in a desired environment, thereby generating effective calorimetric values.

  • Publication number: 20100055242
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for preparing a soft vegetable material which is suitably used for the production of a food or a meal for, in particular, the aged persons and which holds the shape of a particular ingredient of the food. The method comprises the steps of: (1) freezing a vegetable material and then thawing the frozen vegetable material to thus form a thawed vegetable material; (2) immersing the thawed vegetable material in a dispersion containing a pectin-decomposition enzyme or a cellulose-decomposition enzyme under reduced pressure; and (3) subjecting the vegetable material, which has been immersed in the dispersion and then thawed, to a heat-treatment at a temperature for a time sufficient for deactivating the pectin-decomposition enzyme or a cellulose-decomposition enzyme. Moreover, the thawing treatment in the foregoing step (1) may likewise be carried out simultaneous with the step of the enzyme-impregnation treatment under reduced pressure.

  • Patent number: 7392362
Abstract: A volume management system includes a management server which includes a memory and a processor, the memory stores an area level indicative of released or unreleased, a priority level indicative of a priority for establishing a redundancy, a use status indicative of used or unused, and a state indicative of presence or absence of redundancies, for each of logic areas of a storage device. When there is a logic area whose capacity is insufficient among the logic areas of the storage, the arrangement performs a number of operations to allocate capacities of other logic areas to a logic area whose capacity is insufficient.

  • Patent number: 7387976
Abstract: A web containing comprising side-by-side or eccentric core/shell conjugate short fibers A, which contain two kinds of polyester different from each other in intrinsic viscosity, and elastic conjugate fibers B, which contain a thermoplastic elastomer having a melting point lower by 40° C. or more than the two kinds of polyester, and a nonelastic polyester, with at least the thermoplastic elastomer being exposed on a surface of the fibers, is subjected to a heat treatment at a temperature equal to or higher than the melting point of the thermoplastic elastomer, so as to obtain a polyester elastic fiber structure, and then polyester woven or knitted fabrics are laminated adhered on both surfaces of the polyester elastic fiber structure with a polyester adhesive, followed by heat molding into a curved shape by a molding process depending on necessity, so as to obtain a composite fiber structure.

  • Publication number: 20070227324
Abstract: A cylindrical punch member equipped at the leading end thereof with a hole-punching blade is movably supported on a base frame in a hole-punching direction. A drive means is equipped that applies thrusting force to the punch member; a cam follower member disposed between the base frame and punch member engages a cam means disposed at either the base frame or punch member. An oblique cam surface inclined at a predetermined angle with regard to a hole-punching direction is equipped in cam means to give rotational drive force around an axis of rotation to the punch member that is moved in the hole-punching direction by the drive means. This configuration causes each of a plurality of cylindrical punch members to rotate around their axes of rotation when moved in a hole-punching direction by drive means thereby punching a hole in a sheet with a reduced shear force; the centrifugal force of that punch member rotation causing paper cutting debris to be scattered evenly under the punch member.
