  • Publication number: 20180069378
Abstract: A spark plug for an internal combustion engine includes a cylindrical metal shell, a center electrode, and a ground electrode. The center electrode has an end portion which protrudes outside an end of the metal shell. The ground electrode is joined at an end thereof to the metal shell and has an inner surface facing the end portion of the center electrode. The ground electrode has a maximum width W meeting a relation of 1.3?W?2.0. A distance d between the center of an end surface of the center electrode and the inner surface of the ground electrode on a plane extending through the center of the center electrode perpendicular to an axis of the spark plug is selected to meet a relation of W+0.525?d?1.07 W+0.66. This ensures the stability of ignitability of the spark plug.

  • Publication number: 20180034246
Abstract: A spark plug 1 includes a cylindrical housing, a cylindrical insulator, a center electrode, a terminal bracket, a ground electrode, and a resistor. The insulator is held on the inside of the housing. The center electrode 4 is held on the inside of the insulator, with a tip end being projected therefrom. The terminal bracket is held on the inside of the insulator, with a base end part and being projected therefrom. The ground electrode forms a spark discharge gap G between itself and the center electrode. The resistor contains carbon and is disposed on the inside of the insulator so as to be located between the center electrode 4 and the terminal bracket. In an axial direction X of the spark plug, the resistor has a higher carbon content in a first region positioned on a tip side, compared to a second region positioned on a base end side.

  • Publication number: 20160208910
Abstract: Oil pressure controller for an automatic transmission produces a pre-charge shelf pressure supplied to a starter clutch by rapidly decreasing a command hydraulic pressure to the starter clutch after temporarily rapidly increasing the command hydraulic pressure, also produces a capacity adjustment pressure (Pb1 or Pb2) of the starter clutch by gradually increasing the hydraulic pressure from a decrease point of the pre-charge shelf pressure (Pa), when a selecting operation is made from N-range to D-range. By changing capacity adjustment pressure (Pb1 or Pb2) according to brake-operating/nonoperating state, capacity adjustment pressure (Pb1) in the brake-nonoperating state is set to be higher than capacity adjustment pressure (Pb2) in the brake-operating state by an offset hydraulic pressure amount. With this, when the selecting operation is made from N-range to D-range, in the brake-operating state, selection shock of the starter clutch can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 9290170
Abstract: A structure for attaching a motor cylinder device to the body of the vehicle, said vehicle brake system including: an input device via which an operator inputs brake operations; and a motor cylinder device that generates hydraulic brake pressure on the basis of electrical signals based on said brake operations. Said motor cylinder device has: an electric motor that operates on the basis of electrical signals; a driving-force transmission unit that transmits driving force from the electric motor; and a cylinder mechanism that applies pressure to a brake fluid by moving a piston axially by means of the driving force transmitted by the driving-force transmission unit. A mount for attaching the motor cylinder device to the body of the vehicle is provided near the center of gravity of the motor cylinder device. This makes it possible to minimize displacement of the electric brake actuator when subjected to vibration.

  • Patent number: 9068516
Abstract: A reaction force control unit calculates a driver's requested output and then estimates a maximum output that can be generated by an engine in a current cylinder deactivation operation. Next, the reaction force control unit calculates a difference between the maximum output and the requested output as an output difference and then determines whether the output difference has reached a predetermined reaction force start threshold value, and if the determination result is Yes, the reaction force control unit estimates a number of to-be-reactivated cylinders on the basis of the output difference and the current cylinder deactivation operation state. Subsequently, the reaction force control unit sets a target reaction force on the basis of the output difference and the number of to-be-reactivated cylinders, and outputs drive current to a reaction force actuator.
