  • Patent number: 4191209
Abstract: Inaccurate readings of the air flow in an air flow system obtained by an air flow sensor because of an uneven air velocity distribution at the sensor are reduced in accordance with the present invention by providing an air redirecting means in the air flow closely adjacent and upstream from the air flow sensor. The air redirecting means is mounted for movement in response to impingement thereon of an air flow having an uneven velocity distribution so as to redirect the air flow and provide a more representative air velocity condition at the sensor.
