    Abstract: According to one embodiment, a video server includes an analyzer and a storage. The analyzer detects a sequence parameter set (SPS) and a picture parameter set (PPS) in a stream of a data file includes picture slices, SPSs and PPSs. The analyzer stores the detected SPS and PPS. When the analyzer detects a first picture slice in a random access unit (RAU) in the stream, the analyzer generates an additional header including all SPSs and PPSs in the stream of the data file, which are stored before detection of the first picture slice. The analyzer inserts the additional header immediately before the RAU. The storage stores the data file in which the additional header is inserted.

    Abstract: A reception processor converts an MXF file to internal content data pieces, and converts replacement caption data to internal caption data pieces and then stores the internal content data pieces and the internal caption data pieces in a memory. When a caption replacer receives synchronously the internal caption data piece outputted from the memory and the ANC data piece outputted from the separator, the caption replacer replaces a caption data piece included in the ANC data piece with a replacement data piece in the internal caption data piece. Subsequently, the multiplexer multiplexes the video data piece and the audio data piece outputted from the separator, and the ANC data piece outputted from the caption replacer, and thus outputs an SDI signal.

The RAID controller outputs the data blocks and parity data block to the error detectors, respectively. The error detectors add an error detection code to the data blocks and parity data block output from the RAID controller. Each of the memory units includes the memory chips. The memory units write the data blocks and parity data block from the error detectors to the memory chips.

    Abstract: According to an embodiment, a memory creates first packet data and second packet data which are identical to the first packet data, and adds the same serial number to the first packet data and the second packet data. The decoder checks on the first packet data and the second packet data provided with the same serial number, and thereby monitors whether or not an error occurs in the first packet data and the second packet data. Then, the decoder decodes normal packet data selected from the first packet data and the second packet data, and outputs the decoded data to a video switch.

    Abstract: A video recording and playback equipment which plays video data of a program memorized in an MXF file without playback delay is provided. It has a receiver, an analyzer, a playback information table, a program data memory and a decoder. The receiver receives the MXF file which includes the video data and metadata including information about an identification tag to identify the video data and data size of the video data. The analyzer judges whether the data contained in the file is the video data. If it is the video data, the analyzer analyzes a memory location where the video data is memorized in the file and memorize it on the playback information table as playback information, and also memorize the file to the program data memory. Only the video data is played by the decoder from the file based on the playback information.
