  • Publication number: 20090178816
Abstract: A system for determining the elevation of a part of an implement, with the implement being attached to the ends of a pair of lift arms of a loader machine, includes a laser transmitter providing a reference beam of laser light. The beam may be a thin beam that is swept in a reference plane, or it may be a pair of fan shaped beams that are continuously rotated. A first beam detector is mounted on one of the pair of lift arms of the loader machine for detecting said reference beam and providing a first output. A second beam detector is mounted on the same lift arm and is spaced along the lift arm from the first beam detector for detecting the reference beam and providing a second output. A control circuit, responsive to the first beam detector and to the second beam detector, determines the elevation of the part of the implement based on the first and second outputs, and provides a projected implement elevation.

  • Publication number: 20070214666
Abstract: A laser transmitter adapted for use in small spaces such as pipes and sewers includes a housing having two exit windows positioned in generally orthogonal planes. The laser transmitter includes a leveling mechanism that is capable of directing a collimated beam through a select one of the two exit windows, in a generally horizontal direction at a specified grade irrespective of whether the laser transmitter is oriented generally horizontally or generally vertically.

  • Patent number: 7241366
Abstract: A system for coating variable and/or unlimited length parts is provided. The system comprises a process tank, a coating material supply, and an open-ended process tank conveyor is provided. The process tank comprises an entry port, an exit port opposite the entry port, and a process path extending from the entry port to the exit port. The process tank is in communication with the coating material supply. The open-ended process tank conveyor defines a tank conveyor path extending from a receiving end to a dispensing end along at least a portion of the process path, wherein the process tank conveyor defines an open-ended configuration at the receiving end of the tank conveyor and an open-ended configuration at the dispensing end of the tank conveyor.

  • Publication number: 20060250924
Abstract: A system for producing three light beams on orthogonal, intersecting lines, includes a diode laser source providing a laser beam, and a lens for collimating the beam. A pair of reflective surfaces reflect first and second portions of the collimated beam, producing first and second substantially orthogonal output beams, while permitting a third portion of the collimated beam to pass unreflected as a third output beam. The third output beam is substantially orthogonal to the first and second output beams. The three output beams are projected along beam paths that intersect at a common point. The power levels of the three beams are substantially the same.

  • Publication number: 20060156563
Abstract: An adapter providing increased versatility to a laser alignment tool is disclosed. Accessories of the adapter are disclosed for use with a laser alignment tool which may or may not be self-leveling. The accessories include one or more laser reference diffraction elements, effective to receive an incoming laser reference and produce a laser reference deviated a predetermined angular amount, and various attachment features.
