Abstract: The present invention pertains to a flexible universal catheter securement device for use with, e.g. Foley catheters and other catheters. The flexible universal catheter securement device preferably comprises a cover attached to a base at a longitudinal articulation point. The cover has a top cover surface and a bottom cover surface and the bottom cover surface has an adhesive foam padding. The base has a top base surface and a bottom base surface and the top base surface has an adhesive foam padding. The articulation point is foldable such that the cover can be placed on the base. The base and the cover preferably have a centerline and the articulation point is offset there from. The base further comprises a catheter placement axis and the longitudinal articulation point is located parallel to the catheter placement axis. The cover preferably has less surface area than the base.

  • Publication number: 20220323721
Abstract: The present invention pertains to an integrated wound dressing device for treatment of an insertion site of percutaneous and drug delivery devices. The integrated wound dressing device preferably comprises a transparent film layer having a bottom side, a top side and a perimeter. The bottom side is coated with an adhesive impregnated with an antimicrobial agent. The transparent film has a radius cutout between a central opening and the perimeter. A liquid crystal temperature sensitive film with an adhesive placed on the top side of the transparent film layer is preferably near and around the central opening. The dressing also has a layer of double folded release paper below the bottom side of the transparent film layer. The preferred TLCs used are cholesteryl esters with a preferable temperature detection range of 35-40° C. The preferred antimicrobial agent is chlorohexidine gluconate (CHG).

  • Publication number: 20220134057
Abstract: The present invention pertains to a flexible universal catheter securement device having a longitudinal axis perpendicular to a transverse axis. The securement device preferably secures catheters with a hub. The device has a lower base attached to an upper base having a first integral securement strap and a second integral securement strap. The lower base has an upper side and a lower side, each having an adhesive. When the first strap and second strap are in an open position, the straps extend longitudinally from the upper base at folding lines parallel to the transverse axis. The straps are preferably separated by a circular opening smaller than the outside diameter of the hub. Each strap has an inside edge, where the inside edge comprises a portion of the circular opening and the inside edge is longer than the outside edge of the strap.

  • Patent number: 9033900
Abstract: The present invention is an esophageal stethoscope with a temperature sensor and earpiece. An esophageal stethoscope has a tube with a first end and a second end, where a sound-transmitting hydrophobic cuff covers the first end of the tube. The first end of the tube has a plurality of lateral openings and a thermistor extending from the first end but within the cuff. The second end of the tube is attached to a connector and has a temperature sensor sub-assembly that extends out of the second end and is connected to the thermistor. A monoscope tube is attached to the connector at a first end and has a memory foam earpiece at a second end. The monoscope tube also preferably has a clip near the earpiece. To facilitate sound transmission, monoscope tubes of different ID sizes are used.
