  • Patent number: 10486892
Abstract: A package and an array of packages for aerosol dispensers is provided. The package includes a polymeric outer container, the polymeric outer container having a closed bottom, a sidewall, a neck opposite the closed bottom and defining an opening for receiving product. The polymeric outer container has a longitudinal axis. The package has an attachment ring disposed adjacent to the neck of the outer container. The attachment ring has a radially outermost edge from the longitudinal axis that defines an outer diameter of the attachment ring. The outer diameter is 32.20 mm to 32.80 mm, and wherein the attachment ring is directly connectable with an actuator of an aerosol dispenser. • Publication number: 20190077584
Abstract: A threaded valve for an aerosol container. The threaded valve comprises a housing, a moving assembly disposed in the housing, threads suitable for threadable onward attachment onto a complementary neck of an outer container for an aerosol dispenser and a plurality of pawls and/or ratchets disposed on and extending from the housing. The pawls and/or ratchets allow onward rotation of the valve onto the complementary neck and impeding rotational detachment of the valve in a reverse direction.

  • Publication number: 20190077558
Abstract: An aerosol container for an aerosol dispenser. The aerosol container has an outer container. The outer container has a closed end bottom and a longitudinally opposed threaded open neck. The open neck has one or more pawls or ratchets disposed near the neck. The pawls or ratchets allow a complementary valve to be threaded onto the neck. The valve has complementary ratchets or pawls. The ratchet and pawl combination co-acts to impede or even prevent reverse rotation and subsequent removal of the valve. The outer container may be made from a preform having the ratchets and/or pawls integrally molded as part of the injection molding process. A valve having a housing may have ratchets and or pawls integrally molded as part of the injection molding process.

  • Publication number: 20190077583
Abstract: A preform suitable for blow molding into for an outer container usable for a pressurized aerosol dispenser. The preform has a longitudinal axis and a closed end bottom, an open neck. The neck has threads for accepting a valve having complementary threads. At least one pawl or ratchet is operatively juxtaposed with the periphery of the preform. The at least one pawl or ratchet allows onward rotation of the complementary valve in an onward direction, and prevents detachment of the valve in a reverse rotation direction. Any such preform can be blow molded into a corresponding outer container, and any such outer container can be blow molded from a corresponding preform.

  • Publication number: 20180339841
Abstract: An aerosol dispenser having a valve for dispensing product through a valve stem. The valve stem is protected by a sheath, to reduce breakage. The sheath extends equal to or above the height of the valve stem, to absorb axially compressive loads and side impact loads. The sheath can occur in the aerosol dispenser, an aerosol container, an outer container, a preform and/or in the valve. The aerosol dispenser can include bags, pistons and dip tubes.

  • Patent number: 8768653
Abstract: Included are systems and methods for modeling compliant parts. Some of the systems and/or methods include creating a 3-dimensional simulation of a product that includes an outer part and an inner part, determining a deformation characteristic of the product, and simulating an interaction of the inner part with the outer part. Similarly, in some of the systems and/or methods a characteristic of interaction may be measured from the interaction, a determination may be made regarding whether the characteristic of interaction meets a predetermined threshold. In some of the systems and/or methods, in response to determining that the characteristic of interaction meets the predetermined threshold, an output may be sent indicating product design acceptability. In response to determining that the characteristic of interaction does not meet the predetermined threshold, the 3-dimensional simulation may be iteratively altered until the characteristic of interaction meets the predetermined threshold.
