  • Publication number: 20240125686
Abstract: A system for the evaluation of respirator materials includes an aerosolized particle source configured to selectively provide aerosolized particles, a mixing chamber including a drying apparatus, a vacuum source configured to control airflow, an airtight respirator chamber for evaluating respirator materials, a processor, and a memory. The airtight respirator chamber includes a first sub-chamber, a second sub-chamber, a first sensor and a second sensor. The memory includes instructions stored thereon, which when executed by the processor cause the system to: obtain the first signal and the second signal; determine an aerosol filtration efficiency based on a difference between the first signal and second signal; compare the aerosol filtration efficiency to a predetermined threshold; and provide an indication whether the aerosol filtration efficiency is above or below the predetermined threshold.

  • Publication number: 20240077849
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for using printing process data to predict quality measures for three-dimensional (3D) printed objects and properties of the materials comprising the 3D objects. Printing may be performed using resistive or Joule printing. The system may include a computer communicatively coupled to a 3D printing apparatus, which may store printing parameters. The 3D printing apparatus may be able to take measurements during a print job, and record those measurements in memory. The 3D printing apparatus may also be able to record printing states before, during, and/or after printing. A combination of printing states, printing parameters, and measurements may be analyzed, for example, by a machine learning algorithm, in order to predict material properties and quality measures.

  • Patent number: 9482464
Abstract: An environmental control apparatus includes a test chamber, a refrigerant cooling subsystem coupled to the test chamber, a liquid nitrogen cooling subsystem coupled to the test chamber, and control circuitry. The control circuitry is coupled to the refrigerant cooling subsystem and the liquid nitrogen cooling subsystem. The control circuitry is constructed and arranged to coordinate operation of the refrigerant cooling subsystem and the liquid nitrogen cooling subsystem to control internal temperature of the test chamber. Selective operation of the liquid nitrogen cooling subsystem and the refrigerant cooling subsystem can provide significant cost savings by alleviating the need to provide liquid nitrogen cooling in all cooling situations. Moreover, co-location of the liquid nitrogen cooling subsystem and the refrigerant cooling subsystem can provide an efficient and effective form factor for the environmental control apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20160063449
Abstract: A method is provided for scheduling a meeting. The method includes receiving a request from an organizer to schedule a meeting, executing a constraint satisfaction algorithm to determine at least one meeting data set comprising a value for at least one variable in a set of variables. The meeting data set defines at least one of a proposed time, room or participants for the meeting. Executing the constraint satisfaction algorithm involves performing a backtracking search within a solution domain to determine the meeting data set for the set of variables that satisfies a set of meeting constraints. If no meeting data set is determined, the set of variables and the solution domain can be revised. A next backtracking search can be performed to determine the meeting data set for the revised set of variables in the revised solution domain that satisfies one or more of the meeting constraints.
