  • Publication number: 20220107335
Abstract: One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for identifying a position of an engine, such as the position of the pistons, camshaft, and/or crank shaft, during engine starting. In some implementations, a magnetic reluctance sensor can detect the reluctance from a proximate timing gear, resulting in an input voltage signal indicative of the detected reluctance. The input voltage signal can be converted to a digital voltage signal. A trigger threshold can set to identify a detection window. During the detection window, a zero-cross of the input voltage signal is detected to identify an engine position, and any other zero-crossing signals are not identified, thereby mitigating the effects of noise at the slow starting speeds.

  • Patent number: 8150794
Abstract: A data fusion framework is provided for wide-area assessments of unexploded ordnance. One or more wide-area survey data sources representing assessments of geographic sites that may contain unexploded ordnance (UXO) can be analyzed by a data source module as part of the data fusion framework. The data sources can include a geographic registration and a degree of belief and the data source module can register the data sources to a common map grid. A feature layer module can extract a plurality of feature layers from the wide-area survey data sources. A feature map module can generate a plurality of feature maps for each of the plurality of feature layers based on the degree of belief. Finally, a data fusion module can combine the plurality of feature maps and generate a plurality of output maps. This output maps can then be used by UXO site managers to support decisions regarding remediation efforts.

Abstract: A fully integrated hydrostatic transaxle formed of three housing members, a hydrostatic transmission and axle housing member joined to a differential housing member along a vertical plane and joined to a hydrostatic transmission mounting plate and cover member along a horizontal plane. A hydrostatic transmission is connected to and suspended from the mounting plate and cover member. In a second embodiment, a hydrostatic transmission is mounted to a hydrostatic transmission and axle housing member, which in turn is fastened to a center housing member. The center housing member is in turn connected to an axle and differential housing member. The interfaces defined by where the housing members are joined together define substantially parallel vertical planes. Means for effectively unlocking the transmission and the differential is provided so that the operator can push the vehicle without encountering the resistance of back driving the hydrostatic transmission.
