Publication number: 20240037426Abstract: An Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast (ADS-B) system may include a plurality of ADS-B terrestrial stations, with each ADS-B terrestrial station comprising an antenna and wireless circuitry associated therewith defining a station gain pattern. The system may further include a controller including a variational autoencoder (VAE) configured to compress station pattern data from the plurality of ADS-B terrestrial stations, create a normal distribution of the compressed data in a latent space of the VAE, and decompress the compressed station pattern data from the latent space. The controller may also include a processor coupled to the VAE and configured to process the decompressed station pattern data using a probabilistic model selected from among different probabilistic models based upon a game theoretic reward matrix, determine an anomaly from the processed decompressed station pattern data, and generate an alert (e.g., a station specific alert) based upon the determined anomaly.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 26, 2022Publication date: February 1, 2024Inventors: MARK D. Patent number: 7096502Abstract: A method and data processing system assesses the security vulnerability of a network by creating a system object model database representing a network. The system object model database supports the information data requirements of disparate network vulnerability analysis programs. The system object model database is exported to the disparate network vulnerability analysis programs. The network is analyzed with each network vulnerability analysis program to produce data results from each program. Data results are correlated to determine the security posture of the network.Type: GrantFiled: February 8, 2000Date of Patent: August 22, 2006Assignee: Harris CorporationInventors: Kevin L. Fox, Ronda R. Henning, John T. Farrell, Clifford C. Miller

Patent number: 6883101Abstract: A method and data processing system assesses the security vulnerability of a network. A system object model database is created and supports the information data requirements of disparate network vulnerability analysis programs. Only the required data from the system object model database representing the network is imported to the programs, which then analyze the network to produce data results from each program. These data results are stored in a common system model database and within the data fact base. Goal oriented fuzzy logic decision rules are applied to determine the vulnerability posture of the network.Type: GrantFiled: February 8, 2000Date of Patent: April 19, 2005Assignee: Harris CorporationInventors: Kevin L. Fox, Ronda R. Henning, John T. Farrell, Clifford C. Miller

Patent number: 6701318Abstract: An information retrieval and visualization system utilizes multiple search engines for retrieving documents from a document database based upon user input queries. Search engines include an n-gram search engine and a vector space model search engine using a neural network training algorithm. Each search engine produces a common mathematical representation of each retrieved document. The retrieved documents are then combined and ranked. Mathematical representations for each respective document is mapped onto a display. Information displayed includes a three-dimensional display of keywords from the user input query. The three-dimensional visualization capability based upon the mathematical representation of information within the information retrieval and visualization system provides users with an intuitive understanding, with relevance feedback/query refinement techniques that can be better utilized, resulting in higher retrieval accuracy (precision).Type: GrantFiled: February 3, 2003Date of Patent: March 2, 2004Assignee: Harris CorporationInventors: Kevin L. Fox, Ophir Frieder, Margaret M. Knepper, Robert A. Killam, Joseph M. Nemethy, Gregory J. Cusick, Eric J. Snowberg

Patent number: 6535227Abstract: A graphical user interface is contained on a computer screen and used for determining the vulnerability posture of a network. A system design window displays network items of a network map that are representative of different network elements contained within the network. The respective network icons are linked together in an arrangement corresponding to how network elements are interconnected within the network. Selected portions of the network map turn a different color indicative of a vulnerability that has been established for that portion of the network after a vulnerability posture of the network has been established.Type: GrantFiled: February 8, 2000Date of Patent: March 18, 2003Assignee: Harris CorporationInventors: Kevin L.
