  • Publication number: 20230116541
Abstract: A reflectometry instrument includes a light source for emitting an illumination beam that illuminates the macula. A portion of the illumination beam is reflected from the macula and forms a detection beam. The detection beam is indicative of macular pigment in the macula. The instrument also includes a first mirror for reflecting the illumination beam toward the macula and for reflecting the detection beam from the macula. The instrument is configured so that the illumination beam and the detection beam remain separated between the macula and the first mirror.

  • Patent number: 11614950
Abstract: A method for controlling at least one setting of a basic input output system (BIOS) of at least one automated transaction machine (ATM) can include provisioning features of an active management technology system of a first computing device associated with an ATM. The method can also include establishing an initial trust between the first computing device and a second computing device that is remote from the first computing device, over a serial-over-lan (SOL) connection that is a feature of the active management technology system. The method can also include configuring the setting of the BIOS of the first computing device and storing a schedule for changing the setting of the BIOS. The method can also include reconfiguring the setting of the BIOS in response to the schedule stored on the database over the SOL.

  • Publication number: 20230059216
Abstract: A low-profile universal passive protector for an IV catheter includes a connector having a tubular body and a pair of arms pivotally connected thereto. The tubular body defines an end face and the connector includes a cavity extending from the end face. An elongate sheath is snap engageable to the tubular body. A spring is insertable within the connector cavity to extend between at least one of the pair of arms and the elongate sheath when received within the cavity. A slider is moveably coupled to the sheath. The slider includes a flashback chamber formed therein. A hypodermic needle is connected to the slider and is in fluid communication with the flashback chamber. The slider is moveable along the sheath between a first position and a second position, with the hypodermic needle being drawn into the sheath as the slider moves from the first position toward the second position.

  • Patent number: 11481634
Abstract: A device includes a control input generator and a neural network trainer. A flight simulator is configured to generate first state data responsive to a first control input from the control input generator and to provide the first state data to a first neural network to generate a candidate second control input. The control input generator is also configured to select, based on a random value, a second control input from between the candidate second control input and a randomized offset control input that is based on a random offset applied to the first control input. The flight simulator is configured to generate second state data responsive to the second control input from the control input generator. The neural network trainer is configured to update weights of the first neural network based, at least in part, on the first state data and the second state data.
