  • Patent number: 11203967
Abstract: An electric heating support includes a honeycomb structure having an outer peripheral wall and interior porous partition walls defining a plurality of cells forming a flow path. A pair of electrode layers are disposed on a surface of the outer peripheral wall so as to face each other across a central axis of the honeycomb structure. Protective layers cover the electrode layers, respectively, such that at least a part of each electrode layer is exposed. A pair of metal terminals are provided on the electrode layers. Each electrode layer is composed of a metal-ceramic mixed member. A portion of each electrode layer that is exposed from the protective layer is electrically connected to each of the pair of metal terminals.

  • Patent number: 9718212
Abstract: A second mold is placed on a planar surface of a first mold to form a first mold cavity, which is filled with a first material slurry containing a first material powder and the molded slurry is caused to set, thereby forming a first molded part on the planar surface of the first mold. A third mold is placed on the planar surface of the first mold from which the second mold is removed and on which the first molded part is formed, thereby forming a second mold cavity. The second mold cavity is filled with a second material slurry which contains a second material powder different from the first material powder so as to mold the slurry in contact with the first molded part. The molded slurry is caused to set, thereby forming a second molded part on the planar surface of the first mold.

  • Patent number: 8512476
Abstract: The frequency and power of ultrasonic waves is adjusted to materialize the relation 0.04f?20.0?P?0.09f?7.5, wherein f (kHz) is the frequency of the ultrasonic waves and P (W/L) is the power per unit fluid volume obtained by dividing the power (W) of the ultrasonic waves by the volume (L) of a cleaning fluid. The discharge condition of the cleaning fluid by a pump is adjusted such that the proportion (C5) of the brightness of the fluid when 5 seconds has passed since the state wherein both an ultrasonic wave irradiation means and a bubble supply means are concurrently operating to the brightness of the fluid when no bubbles exist in the fluid is 0.75 or less. The coalition and crush of bubbles due to the irradiation of ultrasonic waves are suppressed, and the both actions can be utilized for a long period.

  • Publication number: 20120240383
Abstract: A forming mold having a base member 10, and a resin layer 20 formed on the base member 10. The base member 10 has a rigidity higher than that of the resin layer 20. On the surface of the base member 10, the resin layer 20 having a thickness (Tb) of 1 mm or more is formed through lining or a similar technique. Then, the surface of the portion of the resin layer 20, the portion to be serve as a forming surface, is machined (e.g., end-milled) for finishing so that the thickness of the portion is reduced from Tb to Ta, whereby a forming surface P1 is completed. The forming surface P1 has a form accuracy as high as that attained by a forming surface of a forming mold produced through machining without employing a resin layer.

  • Publication number: 20120085887
Abstract: A forming mold having a base member, a resin layer bonded to the base member and serving as a forming surface, and a bonding layer between the base member and the resin layer, which bonds the base member to the resin layer. The base member has a rigidity higher than that of the resin layer. The forming mold is produced through bonding the resin layer to the base member by use of an adhesive, and the surface of the bonded resin layer is worked, to form the “forming surface” of the resin layer. Alternatively, the forming mold is produced through forming the resin layer having a “forming surface” and bonding the formed resin layer to the base member by use of an adhesive. The present invention enables provision of a forming mold having enhanced dimensional precision of the resin layer actually serving as a forming surface.
