  • Patent number: 6445871
Abstract: An image outputting apparatus is provided with a reproduction circuit for reproducing moving images from a recording medium by operating a recording-medium transport circuit, a recording circuit for recording on a recording substance an image for one picture included in the moving images by operating a feeding circuit which feeds the recording substance, and a control circuit arranged to control the feeding circuit to feed the recording substance to a predetermined position so as to shift a recording position on the recording substance, while controlling the recording-medium transport circuit to transport the recording medium to a predetermined position, and to control. the recording medium-transport circuit and the recording circuit in an interlocked manner so as to record the image for one picture on the recording substance. The arrangement of these parts in combination permits reduction in capacity of an image memory and also in processing time of the apparatus.

  • Patent number: 6318830
Abstract: Provided are an image printing method and apparatus in which printing is made possible in a multiscanning mode for printing the same line using a plurality of printing elements of a printing head in order that uneven density caused by a variance in the printing elements may be rendered inconspicuous. When the multiscanning mode is designated, a plurality of nozzles of the printing head are divided into a plurality of blocks, the nozzle blocks used are changed over every scan of the printing head, and the image of the printing width (band) printed using all of the nozzles is printed by causing the printing head to perform scanning a plurality of times.

  • Patent number: 5987166
Abstract: It is an object to provide an image processing apparatus which can obtain an image reproduction that accurately corresponds to an original color when an ordinary color original is read and which can obtain an accurate marker edition result when a marker original is read. When a color scanning mode to read the color image is selected, an original ground removal by a prescan is not performed. When a marker edition scanning mode to read the marker original is selected, the original ground removal is executed. Thus, a color reproduction which accurately corresponds to the original is executed in the color scanning mode. In the marker edition scanning mode, the color recognition of the marker color is accurately performed without being influenced by the ground color.

  • Patent number: 5974171
Abstract: An image processing apparatus prevents the misdetermination of a read color and allows correct marker edition. A marker registration circuit reads and register color data marked by a predetermined color marker and a color determination circuit compares the color data registered and the read color data at the reading of the document sheet to determine a color code of the marker color. An area determination circuit determines whether an area being read belongs to a normal area, a line area or a paint area and an output color determination circuit determines a color to be outputted in accordance with the color code and the area being read.

  • Patent number: 5847721
Abstract: A recording apparatus includes a recording unit having a nozzle line comprising a plurality of nozzles arranged along a sub-scan direction for recording a band having a record width corresponding to a length of the nozzle line onto a recording medium in accordance with an input image signal by discharging ink from the nozzles along a main scan direction orthogonal to the sub-scan direction, a transport unit for intermittently transporting the recording medium in the sub-scan direction, and a control unit for controlling the drive of the recording unit and the transport unit. The control unit sets a transport distance of the recording medium by the transport unit to a distance smaller than the record width when the image to be recorded on the recording medium comprises a plurality of bands. Each of the bands has at least one end having an image pattern complement to an image pattern at an end of adjacent band along the sub-scan direction.

  • Patent number: 5844590
Abstract: An image printing method and apparatus for combining and printing image data that has already been stored with the image of a read original. The stored image data is printed at a prescribed density, and the image of the original is printed at a density conforming to the gray level thereof. At a portion of a recording medium on which the stored image data and the image of the original will overlap, the stored image data is printed preferentially. Further, the printing of the image and the scanning of the original image for reading the same are executed synchronously.

  • Patent number: 5727082
Abstract: The present invention is intended to cope with a case where a document image received through a communication line is written in a language of a different country in such a manner that translation is directly performed on the basis of received information, omitting intermediate processes in order to improve the translation efficiency and to prevent waste of recording paper. Therefore, if English image information has been facsimile-received, character recognition is performed on the basis of the received image. The translation is performed in accordance with a text consisting of recognized character data so that (for example) a Japanese text data is prepared. Then, a Japanese document image on the basis of the Japanese text data is produced, the Japanese document image being then output through a printer.
