    Abstract: An object is to improve strength of a component after fused. A composite material fusion method is a method for fusing a first composite material, which is a composite material made of a thermoplastic resin and fibers, and a second composite material, which is a composite material made of a thermoplastic resin and fibers. The method includes: providing a thermoplastic resin film between a first fusion surface that is a surface to be fused of the first composite material and to which a machine processing has been applied and a second fusion surface that is a surface to be fused of the second composite material; heating the first and second composite materials with the resin film being provided between the first and second fusion surfaces; and pressing the first composite material and/or the second composite material with the resin film being provided between the first and second fusion surfaces.
