  • Patent number: 8408593
Abstract: A vehicle cabin having a vehicle seat is provided and the vehicle seat is aligned in a frontal direction. An instrument panel extends on the front side toward the vehicle seat and forms a foot well in the perpendicular projection onto a projection plane that is defined by a vehicle floor or sections thereof. A leg space extends between the foot well and the vehicle seat, and an airbag system is provided that is integrated at least in sections in the instrument panel and which has a prebag and an airbag. • Patent number: 8322769
Abstract: A multifunction device to be situated within a central console of a motor vehicle has an instrument panel for receiving one or more elements (e.g., display and/or operating elements), the instrument panel being designed as movable and being transferable from a closed position into an open position, the instrument panel being situated within an opening of the central console in the closed position. Furthermore the central console has a storage element, which is situated outside the field of vision of the vehicle occupants in the closed position of the instrument panel and which is freely accessible to the vehicle occupants in the open position of the instrument pane. It is thus possible to provide a multifunction device to be situated within a central console of a motor vehicle, which is particularly easily reachable for the driver of the motor vehicle and simultaneously can increase the possible useful space within a motor vehicle.

  • Patent number: 5043884
Abstract: A communications system with communications terminal equipment provided with prescribed functions that are defined and controlled by a communications installation by information transmission. An identical parameter-controlled program for all communications terminal equipment connectable to a communications installation is stored in the program memory of the communications terminal equipment. All functions that can be allocated to the different types of communications terminal equipment are realized by this program. The functions provided for the respective communications terminal equipment are allocated and controlled by parameter data stored in a data memory. On the basis of an initialization in the communications terminal equipment or in the communications installation, the parameter data are transmitted for the first time to or updated at the respective communications terminal equipment by the communications installation.

  • Patent number: 4972183
Abstract: A method for transmitting equipment-specifying program parameter data from a communications installation to communications terminal equipment. The method provides for transmitting program parameter data from a communications installation to a plurality of communications terminal equipment connected thereto and is based on a message-oriented transmission protocol that is used in the sense of an information exchange in the signalling channel between the equipment. In the communications equipment, the input and output devices as well as the procedures of performance features and local performance features are essentially controlled with the assistance of the program parameter data. A transmission of program parameter data is initiated either by a parameter request message transmitted from the communications terminal equipment or by an internal request of the communications installation.

  • Patent number: 4908824
Abstract: A ring-shaped network (RN) which is an offering network is inserted into a subscriber line region of a switching equipment (VE). A gate (GWE) is arranged in one (AEI) of the acceptance devices of the respectively accepting n subscriber line equipment (SLM) and signalling and message transmission procedure matching is done in the gateway means. The coupling to the ring-shaped network (RN) occurs through a ring-coupling (RCB) to which a gateway apparatus (GWE) and an external acceptance device (AEE) which contains a matching device (APE) and a plurality of subscriber line equipment (SLM) are connected. The matching device (APE) provides the signalling and information transmission procedure matching. For example, ISDN subscriber equipment (SE) are connected to the subscriber line equipment (SLM) via central office lines (ASL).

  • Patent number: 4903258
Abstract: Modularly Structured Digital Communications system. The multi-tasking operating system of a central system processor control administers a line technology task having device program modules associated with types of terminal equipment and administers a switching technology task having switching procedure program modules independent of the class of terminal equipment and independent of communications service. The line technology task and the switching technology task each have input and output memories operated mailbox like allocated to them. For exchange of messages between the tasks, the multi-tasking operating system have a program bus structure with a transmission protocol defined with universal validity independently of communications service and independently of type of terminal equipment.
