  • Patent number: 6152686
Abstract: The unit has a conveying pump embodied as a flow pump (10) with an impeller wheel (12) rotating in a pump chamber (24) and having respectively a crown of vanes (32) on both of its front faces which, together with grooves (38, 24) in the shape of a partial circle arranged in the front walls (26, 28) delimiting the pump chamber (24), respectively constitute a lateral conveying channel (44). The vanes (50) of the impeller wheel (12) are connected by an outer ring (36) on their radially outer ends. The outer ring (36) of the impeller wheel (12) also has a crown of vanes (50) which, together with the grooves in the shape of a partial circle arranged in the front walls (26, 28), respectively constitute an outer flow channel (58).

  • Patent number: 5239961
Abstract: A rotary idle-speed actuator for controlling a throttle cross-section in a line carrying combustion air for an internal combustion engine has an actuating motor with a stator and a rotor. The rotor is mounted on a shaft of a throttle member which more or less opens a control opening. The rotor has a cup-shaped form with a bottom and a cylinder-jacket-shaped wall. The stator has field windings and is arranged together with the field windings inside the rotor, and the stator is mounted only at its end which is opposite to the bottom of the rotor.

  • Patent number: 5229671
Abstract: In a rotary actuator (1) with rotary slide valve (3) for controlling a throttle cross-section, the sealing of the pneumatic (16) and of the electrical part (17) is to be improved. For this purpose, the shaft (11) is supported twofold, both on this side and on the other side of the rotary slide valve (3). Both roller bearings (13, 14) are located in a one-piece housing (12). As a result, the tolerance-related width of the air gap between rotary slide valve (3) and control opening (6) is reduced, on the one hand, and, on the other hand, an isolating seal between the parts (16) and (17) is formed by the bearing (13). The rotary actuator (1) is particularly suitable as idle-speed rotary actuator for internal combustion engines.

  • Patent number: 4954677
Abstract: A tire pressure sensor to be fastened to a rim of a vehicle wheel for sensing an inflation pressure of a tire mounted on the rim, the tire pressure sensor comprising a reference pressure chamber having a gas filled reference pressure volume, an electrically conductive diaphragm for sealingly separating the reference pressure chamber at a tire interior, a sensor electric circuit, a contact pin located in the reference pressure chamber and cooperating with the electrically inductive diaphragm for closing the sensor electric circuit when the tire inflation pressure is at a predetermined value, and an additional pressure chamber communicating with the reference pressure chamber and deformable to change the reference pressure volume therein to thereby establish a predetermined reference pressure in the reference pressure chamber.

  • Patent number: 4652818
Abstract: The invention concerns an electric measuring instrument with a connecting cable, preferably an inductive bar sensor for measuring the speed of rotating bodies, which emits electric signals in relation to the rotational speed of the body. To allow that the manufacturing and testing of the measuring instrument (10) can be carried out as economically as possible, the measuring device preferably consists of two prefabricated components (27, 28) joined in such a way that they are interlocking and moisture-proof, namely the actual measuring device consisting of a coil (13), a coil form (14), a permanent magnet (17), a flow conductor piece (15), a pole shoe (16), conductor rails (18) and a housing (20), and a connector piece (25) embedding the end of the connecting cable (22) with the conductor ends (23). Such measuring instruments (10) can be used in motor vehicles or in industry, as temperature probes, pressure sensors, rotational speed sensors or speed sensors for rotating bodies, etc.
