  • Patent number: 11389049
Abstract: An endoscope has a distal end constituting portion provided at a distal end of an insertion section to be inserted into a subject, a distal end cover that is integrally formed to include a translucent plate-shaped first member and a second member arranged around the first member and that is attached to an end surface of the distal end constituting portion, and a resin portion that is annularly applied to a portion including a boundary portion between the first member and the second member and that prevents transmission of a fluid.

  • Publication number: 20200178762
Abstract: An endoscope includes an active bending portion that is configured to be bent in a first direction according to a bending operation of an operator, a passive bending portion that is provided on a proximal end side of the active bending portion and is passively bent by receiving an external force without being bent according to the bending operation of the operator, and a flexible tube. The passive bending portion includes a first area including two coupling portions that couple two adjacent bending pieces rotatably around two rotation axes crossing at a first angle around a central axis of an insertion portion with respect to a second direction orthogonal to the first direction and a second area including two coupling portions that couple another two adjacent bending pieces rotatably around two second rotation axes crossing at a second angle larger than the first angle with respect to the second direction.

  • Publication number: 20200121167
Abstract: An endoscope as an insertion device includes an insertion portion configured to be inserted into a subject from a distal end side in a longitudinal axis direction. The insertion portion includes: a distal end portion; a bending portion provided on a proximal end side of the distal end portion and configured to bend in a first direction according to a bending operation by an operator; a passive bending portion as a first flexible tube portion provided on a proximal end side of the bending portion and configured to passively bend by receiving an external force without being bent by the bending operation by the operator; and a corrugated tube as a second flexible tube portion provided on a proximal end side of the passive bending portion. The passive bending portion has higher bending rigidity in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction than in the first direction.

  • Patent number: 10238270
Abstract: The flexible tube includes a plurality of spiral tubes fitted with each other, and each spiral tube is formed by winding a band-like element and includes a densely wound portion and a loosely wound portion. The loosely wound portion of a first spiral tube is covered with the densely wound portion of a second spiral tube, so that the flexible tube has uniform hardness and resiliency. The flexible tube is suitably applied to an insertion device.

  • Publication number: 20180042452
Abstract: A spiral tube that forms a flexible tube used for an insertion section is formed by spirally and densely winding a band-like element wire, and being coated by an external layer from the outer periphery side. In the element wire, adjustment portions are arranged in intervals that are greater than half the circumference of the spiral along the longitudinal direction of the band. A plurality of retaining portions are formed as holes or bottomed holes in a continuous manner. The retaining portions are shifted in the circumferential direction of the longitudinal axis so that the retaining portions that are formed in the adjacent portions of the spirally wound element wire would not be next to each other in the direction parallel to the longitudinal axis.
