  • Patent number: 6056451
Abstract: A photographic film processing apparatus for processing long developed film (10b) formed by joining photographic films with a splicing material (13). The apparatus includes a first transport device (40a) for transporting the long developed film. A region of the splicing material in the long developed film is detected in order to cut the long film. A main cutter (60) cuts the long developed film transported by the first transport device, in the region of the splicing material into short films (10a) prior to an exposing process. A second transport device (40b) is provided for transporting the short films to exposure processing units (20, 30). Further, an auxiliary cutter (70) is provided for cutting lateral portions of the region of the splicing material in the long developed film. The region of the splicing material is cut such that a width of an upstream short film is contained within a width at a forward end of a downstream short film.

  • Patent number: 5592258
Abstract: A film transporting apparatus for a film processing system. The apparatus includes a pair of frame members pivotably connected to each other to be opened and closed, a transport mechanism provided to each of the frame members and operable to transport a film along a predetermined film transport passage when the frame members are closed, an optical sensor for detecting film information including a light emitting portion provided in one of the frame members and a light receiving portion provided in the other frame member, positioning engaging portions provided respectively to the frame members and coming into engagement with each other in association with a pivotal movement of the frame members to a closed state. The apparatus further includes a movable frame member movably provided to one of the frame members.

  • Patent number: 4419882
Abstract: A means for detecting helium which has flowed into a system by substitution for air at a leaking location and mixed with the remaining gases, and after the helium gas permeates a helium permeable membrane as a sample gas so that the air component unnecessary for detection is suppressed, the helium gas enters the space of a mass spectrometer tube. That is, the membrane suppresses the permeation of the air component and selectively allows the helium component to pass therethrough, so that the helium component ratio in the space of the spectrometer tube is made larger than that in the sample gas. The helium partial pressure in the gas with thus increased helium component is determined by the mass spectrometer. The change in the helium partial pressure in the spectrometer tube is produced depending on the substitution between the air component gases and the helium gas at the leak location.

  • Patent number: 4188504
Abstract: A binaural signal processing circuit comprising a first system for imparting an input signal with a transfer characteristic equal to the transfer characteristic hL(t; .theta., r) from a sound source to the left ear of a listener, where .theta. represents an angle between the front direction of the listener and the sound source, and r represents a distance between the sound source and the listener, a second system for imparting the input signal with a transfer characteristic equal to the transfer characteristic hR(t; .theta., r) from the sound source to the right ear of the listener, a system for variably controlling the transfer functions of the first and second transfer function imparting systems, and a further system for deriving binaural signals from the first and second transfer function imparting systems.

  • Patent number: 4137430
Abstract: In a record disc recording system for recording a signal f(t), the cutter stylus has a cutting angle .theta. and operates responsive to a signal to be recorded on a record disc. A tracing and tracking distortion compensation circuit operates, upon being supplied with the recording signal f(t), to produce an output signal T.sub.p.sup.-1 {f(t)} as expressed by the following equation, and to supply the same as the signal to be recorded by the cutter stylus. ##EQU1## where R IS THE RADIUS OF THE TIP OF A REPRODUCING STYLUS TO BE USED FOR REPRODUCING THE RECORDED SIGNAL FROM THE DISC,V is the relative linear velocity of the reproducing stylus relative to the sound groove of the record disc, ##EQU2## The cutter operates responsive to the signal T.sub.p.sup.-1 {f(t)}. The reproducing stylus reproduces the signal thus recorded without tracing and tracking distortion.

  • Patent number: 4010333
Abstract: A record disc recording system comprises a circuit for producing a signal which is substantially 2V.sup.2 . a, where; V is the relative velocity between a cutter head and a disc, and a is a specific coefficient, which varies in accordance with the traversing of the cutter head over the disc. A circuit produces a distortion signal {f'(t)}.sup.2 /{2V.sup.2. a - f"(t)} (wherein .vertline.2V.sup.2. a.vertline.>.vertline. f"(t).vertline.) responsive to an original signal f(t) and to the signal 2V.sup.2. a. Another circuit produces a recording signal g(t) with distortion (where g(t) = f(t) + {f'(t)}.sup.2 /2 {2V.sup.2. a - f"(t)}) responsive to the original signal f(t) and to the distortion signal {f'(t)}.sup.2 /{2V.sup.2. a - f"(t)}. A cutter head records the signal g(t) on a record disc.
