  • Publication number: 20080233943
Abstract: A network management apparatus inputs a plurality of work dates and time periods to update software in a base station. The apparatus obtains an n-week average of the numbers of connection calls during each of the input time periods for each day of the week, based on statistical information about connection with a wireless terminal in each base station. The apparatus obtains an m-month average of the numbers of connection calls during each of the input time periods for each date, based on the statistical information. The apparatus calculates, for each of the time periods for a work date, an average or a weighted average of the n-week average and the m-month average to obtain a degree of impact upon a communication service. A processing section selects a work date and a time period having the minimum degree of impact and updates the software.

  • Patent number: 7383082
Abstract: A device is provided which is capable of determining an amount of exercise involved in walking, as well as of obtaining quantitative information about visceral fat in the abdominal part of a subject and which can be used handily by being carried with the subject. The visceral fat determining device with a step-counting function is configured as follows. The visceral fat determining device has a step-counting means for counting the number of steps involved in exercise such as walking done by a subject and a main body shaped to be portable. When body data of the subject such as the waist size of the subject is inputted to the visceral fat determining device through a manipulation section, the visceral fat determining device is capable of performing a computation of the body data based on a predetermined computing formula for obtaining quantitative information about the abdominal visceral fat of the subject.

  • Publication number: 20060161652
Abstract: A network system automatically distributes management information to allow immediate monitoring. In the network system, the DHCP server of a network-information management server assigns information to a network-information management table when receiving an assignment request of IP information and network management information from a client. The DHCP client of the client obtains the IP information and the network management information from the DHCP server. The SNMP agent of the client reports to a monitoring server that the network management information has been set. The SNMP manager of the monitoring server determines that the network management information has been set, the monitoring control section of the monitoring server records information of the client in a monitoring control table, and starts monitoring the client.

  • Publication number: 20050208944
Abstract: Software in a base station is upgraded during a communication service. A base station control portion selects one or multiple signals in accordance with the state of radio waves from signals received through multiple definable communication paths. A wireless communication apparatus communicates with a wireless terminal and a wired communication network at multiple frequencies. In response to a request for software upgrading from a network management device, the wireless communication apparatus selects one frequency, controls the state of transmission waves of a wireless interface such that a communication path in which a communication service is being provided at the frequency can be switched to another communication network without instantaneous interruption, rewrites software defined for each wireless interface out of communication service to software received through a wired interface in advance, and returns the state of transmission waves of the wireless interface.

  • Patent number: 6905464
Abstract: A visceral fat scale equipped with a sphygmomanometer is described, with which a subject can keep track of blood pressure values and grasp the state of obesity to attain more accurate, comprehensive and diversified diagnoses and disease prevention. The visceral fat scale is designed such that after exerting pressure to an artery of a subject by inflation of a cuff, a pulse wave signal is detected in the course of gradual cuff deflation and blood pressure is obtained based on the detected pulse wave signal. The scale comprises an increment/decrement key and display mode selector key for inputting personal data of the subject; an arithmetic operation unit for calculating the amount of visceral fat of the subject based on data input by these keys; and a display unit for displaying a result of the calculation performed by the arithmetic operation unit.
