  • Patent number: 4540247
Abstract: A hologram scanner includes a rotatable hologram disk on which a plurality of hologram lenses are arranged circumferentially, and a light beam guide mechanism for successively shifting irradiation regions in a predetermined direction with respect to the direction of rotation of the hologram disk, to apply a light beam successively to the hologram lenses on the hologram disk, so that the scanning of a reading window with the light beam is effected in all directions with high density. The hologram scanner is employable as a bar code reading device in a POS or UPC system.

  • Patent number: 4504520
Abstract: A process for producing the wood head of a golf club by impregnating a wood head workpiece with a resin to give durability to the wood head, the process comprising the steps of forming the workpiece so that the hitting surface thereof extends in parallel with internal channels therein, subsequently immersing the workpiece in a first liquid resin composition only at the hitting side to impregnate the hitting side with the composition at a high ratio and form a resin-impregnated layer of high impregnation ratio, thereafter impregnating the entire workpiece with a second liquid resin composition at a low ratio, and polymerizing and curing the compositions. Also disclosed is an apparatus for performing the resin impregnation steps.

  • Patent number: 4491863
Abstract: A color display device having a display surface constituted by a number of picture elements in which each picture element is made up of one red light emitting elements, two green light emitting elements and one blue light emitting element, to improve the resolution, color mixing and the maximum brightness of the display.

  • Patent number: 4444470
Abstract: An acousto-optic deflector is supplied with a beam of laser light and driven in a parallel relationship with a plurality of high frequency signals to produce a plurality of diffracted deflected beams of laser light. The high frequency signals have phases independently controlled so as to prevent the resultant combination of the high frequency signals from having an excessively high peak-to-peak amplitude.

  • Patent number: 4383256
Abstract: A large scale display device capable of displaying half tones composed of a display panel having a large number of display elements arranged in a matrix form with each element having a memory function. The overall range of an image signal is divided into a plurality of steps or levels. A first level signal is used to control the timing of turning on the display element while a second level signal is used to control the timing of turning off the display element so that the light emitting time period is made proportional to the amplitude of the image signal. Both the number of decisions required and the number of times of controlling the display elements are reduced over prior constructions so that various half tones can be readily displayed.

  • Patent number: 4367464
Abstract: A large scale display device such as a stadium or advertising display in which a plurality of light emitting elements constituted by cathode-ray tubes are arranged in a plane to display color images and characters. Specifically, light emitting elements are constituted by cathode-ray tubes having three primary color light emitting elements. A drive circuit is provided for each color of each of the light emitting element to selectively turn on and off the light emitting element. The drive circuit has brightness adjusting means for adjusting the intensity of light emitted by each light emitting element. A memory circuit is connected to each drive circuit for supplying a binary control signal to the drive circuit to selectively turn on and off the corresponding light emitting element.

  • Patent number: 4285006
Abstract: A ghost cancellation circuit system comprises an amplifier for forming an output signal of a composite wave of a direct wave and a ghost wave; a carrier wave extracting circuit for extracting the carrier wave having the reference phase from the output signals of the amplifier; phase shifting means for generating a detection axis signal having the specific phase of the output of the carrier wave extracting circuit; a pair of phase detection circuits for a phase detection of the output of the amplifier by the detection axis signal of the phase shifting means or the carrier wave extracting circuit, and a delay circuit for forming the output in delay for a time substantially equal to the delay time of the ghost wave by receiving the output of the pair of phase detection circuits through a pair of coefficient circuits, whereby at least a specific component of the ghost wave is cancelled by summing the output of the delay circuit to the output of the phase detection circuit.
