  • Publication number: 20120250819
Abstract: A radiation imaging apparatus is provided. The radiation imaging apparatus includes a radiation detector including a plurality of detector modules disposed therein, each detector module including a plurality of radiation detecting elements, wherein each of the detector modules includes a temperature sensor. The radiation imaging apparatus further includes an acquiring device configured to acquire temperature characteristic information of sensitivities of the radiation detecting elements from a storing device in which the temperature characteristic information is stored in advance, and a correcting device configured to correct data detected by the radiation detecting elements, based on temperature information acquired by the temperature sensor and the temperature characteristic information acquired by the acquiring device.

  • Patent number: 7781741
Abstract: Methods and systems for an imaging system including a detector and a data acquisition system are provided. The data acquisition system includes a plurality of terminations, at least one of the terminations coupled to a signal lead of a respective detector element, the circuit board connector positioned proximate the detector to facilitate reducing an input capacitance of the respective detector element signal leads, and at least one connector slot configured to receive a single analog to digital converter board (A/D board), the connector slot further configured to receive two A/D boards in a back-to-back configuration with respect to each other.

  • Patent number: 7561660
Abstract: A CT system including a multi-array detector that includes a plurality of detector cell, a data acquisition system that acquires data items representing doses of radiation incident on the detector according to output signals of the detector cells, and a data processing unit that identifies a distribution of doses of radiation incident on the detector, which is used to construct tomographic images acquired by the data acquisition system. The data acquisition system includes a smaller number of amplifiers, which amplify signals produced by the detector cells and transmit the resultant signals, than the number of detector elements, and a switching unit that changes the continuities between the detector cells and amplifiers so that detector cells whose signals are amplified by each of the amplifiers will be changed into others juxtaposed in the direction of slices during the scanning of a subject.

  • Publication number: 20070098138
Abstract: To realize an X-ray detector and an X-ray CT apparatus with improved efficiency for X-ray utilization while leaving gaps existing among solid state detectors which are arranged two-dimensionally. A scintillator has a parallelepiped structure in which a top face and an under face are deviated from each other in a channel direction only by an amount d1 exceeding width of a gap, thereby eliminating an X-ray insensitive area when viewed from the X-ray incidence direction. Therefore, efficiency for X-ray utilization improves and, moreover, improvement in X-ray detectivity and picture quality of a slice image to be captured is realized.
