  • Publication number: 20050002991
Abstract: The objects of this invention are to prevent or ameliorate hypertension to improve physical constitution and finally to provide feeds, drinks, foods, health food supplements and pharmaceuticals which may be led to the prophylaxis or amelioration of life style related diseases. A prophylactic or ameliorating agent of hypertension comprising conjugated fatty acids (e.g., conjugated linoleic acid) as effective ingredients. A feed, food and drink, and health food supplement comprising the conjugated fatty acids described above. A pharmaceutical comprising the conjugated fatty acids described above. A method for prophylactic or ameliorating of hypertension in a mammal, which comprises administering to the mammal an effective amount of a conjugated fatty acid for preventing or ameliorating of hypertension in the mammal. Use of a conjugated fatty acid for preparing a pharmaceutical for prophylactic or ameliorating of hypertension.

  • Patent number: 6798619
Abstract: A magnetic head actuator provided with a finely movable tracking device having a piezoelectric element is provided for easy wiring to the piezoelectric element and reducing problems such as wire breakage and continuity defects. In the magnetic head actuator, a portion of an FPC board resin base is removed to expose a portion of the feeding line that extends onto a voltage impressing electrode. An electrical and mechanical connection is made between the electrode and the exposed portion of the feeding line by ultrasonic bonding, Au ball bonding, or stud bumping.

  • Patent number: 6109905
Abstract: An apparatus for granulation of fine, light powder by mixing a powder and a mist of binder with a fluidizing air flow. The apparatus includes a container and a filter, provided along an inner peripheral surface of the container, for forming a high density powder layer thereon. A space, formed between the container and the filter, is divided into a plurality of ring-shaped zones. Also, a backwash mechanism and an exhaust mechanism are connected to the container so as to be selectively communicated with the ring-shaped zones.

  • Patent number: 6013216
Abstract: The present invention is intended for granulation of powder comprising the steps of mixing a powder and a mist of binder by fluidizing air flow, collecting the mixture of the powder and the binder on a filter surface thereby forming a powder layer thereon, peeling off the powder layer from the filter surface thereby crushing the powder layer into pieces, returning the crushed fragments into the fluidizing air flow and mixing them with the mist of binder again, repeating the steps until the desired granule is obtained.

  • Patent number: 5845846
Abstract: The spraying nozzle of this invention establishes supersonic gas jets directed towards an edge on two liquid flow surfaces formed by that edge. High frequency aerodynamic oscillations are generated in front of the edge. Liquid is supplied to the liquid flow surfaces. The gas flow spreads liquid on a liquid flow surface into a thin film which flows along the liquid flow surface towards the edge. The thin film flow becomes thinner, separates from the edge, and is sprayed as liquid droplets. The liquid droplets are sucked into the gas jet convergence point where they are further fragmented into extremely fine particles by shock waves of the gas jets. The ultra-fine particles are rapidly swept away from the edge by the gas flow.
