Publication number: 20220407807Abstract: A delivery control apparatus, a delivery control method, and a delivery control program by which, even if listening port numbers are duplicate in multiple server processes, a packet that has the listening port numbers as its address can be properly delivered. A process management unit detects multiple running server processes that are generated by launch of mutually different server programs and that have the same listening port number. The process management unit performs control such that one server process of the detected multiple running server processes is put into an active state and the remaining server processes are put into a standby state. A reception unit receives a packet that has the listening port number as its address. A delivery control unit delivers the packet to the server process in the active state.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 24, 2020Publication date: December 22, 2022Applicant: Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc.Inventors: Koji Shima, Hikaru Mitsuhashi

Patent number: 8595413Abstract: To increase the number of times data can be written into a flash memory a flash memory is provided with a real data block having multiple data blocks each having multiple data write cells. A memory control device identifies a data block having a reprogrammable write cell out of the data block, successively adding received, new data segments into the reprogrammable write cell of the identified data block to complete addition of the data segments. The block in a state before the addition is kept to a certain period of time and then erased in the unit of block. When the number of write operations in the data block reaches a predetermined number of times, then it selects new data blocks that are necessary for retaining a subsequent predetermined number of operations to rewrite data, and repeats the aforementioned operations for the selected data blocks.Type: GrantFiled: December 9, 2008Date of Patent: November 26, 2013Assignees: Sony Corporation, Sony Computer Entertainment Inc.Inventors: Koji Shima, Hideyoshi Asai

Patent number: 8453311Abstract: A method of forming a batch of uniformly shaped glass sheet objects is disclosed. A stack of glass sheets is placed in a frame and submerged in a coolant. A hole is drilled through the stack. The cores of the hole and any debris from the drilling process are swept away in the coolant and pumped through a filter. A pin is inserted into the hole and attached to the base. A head on the pin, or a washer, fixes the stack of glass to the base at the hole. An outer profile is then cut in the glass stack around the hole while the formed objects are held to a base of the frame by the pin. Again, any debris is swept away in the coolant. The uniformly shaped objects are removed from the frame and separated. The glass sheet objects are preferably usable as a substrate for a magnetic or magneto-optical (MO) data/information storage retrieval medium.Type: GrantFiled: April 29, 2008Date of Patent: June 4, 2013Assignee: Seagate Technology LLCInventors: Robert Lloyd Babcock, Koji Shima

Patent number: 8429304Abstract: Logical partitions in an information processing apparatus share an IP address and are assigned different MAC addresses. A representative logical partition communicates with an external entity on behalf of the other logical partitions. A driver is provided with a virtual interface and a physical interface. Internal communication between the logical partitions is done via the virtual interface and communication with an external entity is done via the physical interface. If a packet received from an external destination is destined to one of the other logical partitions, the protocol stack of the representative logical partition replaces the destination MAC address by the MAC address of the destination logical partition. The protocol stack provides the packet in which the destination MAC address has been replaced to the virtual interface. The virtual interface transfers the packet provided by the protocol stack to the destination logical partition.Type: GrantFiled: October 10, 2006Date of Patent: April 23, 2013Assignees: Sony Corporation, Sony Computer Entertainment Inc.Inventors: Koji Shima, William Parks
