Publication number: 20130172520Abstract: Provided is a polyoxamide resin which has excellent impact resistance and is characterized in that the polyoxamide resin is obtained from a diamine in which the diamine component has 10 to 18 carbons and in that the polyoxamide resin has a relative viscosity (?r) of 2.1 or greater as determined at 25° C. using 96% sulfuric acid as a solvent and a solution having a concentration of 1.0 g/dL, and also provided is an impact-resistant part comprising this resin. The polyoxamide resin has a higher molecular weight than a conventional polyoxamide resin, a large moldable temperature range as estimated from the difference between the melting point and the thermal decomposition temperature and therefore excellent molten moldability, and furthermore excellent impact resistance when compared to a conventional aliphatic polyoxamide resin without losing the low water absorbency, chemical resistance, hydrolysis resistance, high elasticity, and high strength seen with aliphatic straight-chain polyoxamide resins.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 15, 2011Publication date: July 4, 2013Applicant: Ube Industries, Ltd.Inventors: Shuichi Maeda, Kouichiro Kurachi, Hiroshi Okushita, Yasunari Hanaoka, Naoyasu Yabu, Tomoyuki Nakagawa

Publication number: 20100098893Abstract: There is provided a polyamide resin that can achieve a sufficiently high molecular weight compared to conventional polyamide 92, has a broad moldable temperature range or width estimated from a difference between melting point and thermal decomposition temperature, exhibits excellent melt moldability and has excellent chemical resistance and hydrolysis resistance compared to conventional aliphatic polyamide resins without impairing low water absorption property of an aliphatic linear polyoxamide resin. A polyamide resin in which the dicarboxylic acid component is oxalic acid and the diamine component is a diamine component composed of 1,9-nonanediamine and 2-methyl-1,8-octanediamine, with the molar ratio between 1,9-nonanediamine and 2-methyl-1,8-octanediamine being from 6:94 to 99:1.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 11, 2007Publication date: April 22, 2010Applicant: Ube Industries, Ltd.Inventors: Hiroshi Okushita, Kouichiro Kurachi, Masato Shimokawa, Shouichi Tanaka
