  • Patent number: 5293489
Abstract: In a circuit arrangement for use in accessing selected address numbered with a preselected distance left between two adjacent ones of the selected addresses, a control circuit centralizes control operation of a switching network with reference to a reference one of the selected addresses and the preselected distance to make the switching network form internal paths between input and output port sets of the switching network. Alternatively, when ports of a selected one of the input and output port sets are accessed at a predetermined port interval, the control circuit controls the switching network with reference to the predetermined port interval and a reference port selected from the selected port set. A leading port of the other set is determined to be connected to the reference port. A rearranging circuit may be connected to one of the input and output port sets to rearrange an order of the ports of the one port set in consideration of the port distance.

  • Patent number: 5265220
Abstract: In an address control device operable in response to an input virtual address signal to control an access operation to a memory section, an address storing operation is started by an address conversion control section (22) when no real address part is stored in a translation lookaside buffer (21) in correspondence to the input virtual address signal. The address storing operation is continued in the address control device even when a cancellation signal is given from an execution processing unit (12) so as to cancel the access operation, without supply of a request signal to the memory section. For this purpose, an "under operation" signal is produced from an "under operation" flip-flop (46) during the address storing operation to reject reception of the cancellation signal and to hold the input virtual address in a virtual address register (20).

  • Patent number: 5251309
Abstract: A data processing apparatus includes a register, an access time counter, a comparator, and a bank waiting time counter. The register calculates a minimum period of time required to access all elements which constitute vector data when the vector data is accessed. The access time counter counts the time which has lapsed after access for the vector data is started. The comparator compares a value calculated by the register with a value obtained by the access time counter. The bank waiting time counter is incremented in accordance with a comparison result obtained by the comparator. The bank waiting time counter thus stores the waiting time due to the bank conflict.

  • Patent number: 5201058
Abstract: A data transfer controller controls transfer of vector data from a first device to a second device, and the vector data consists of a plurality of elements. The data transfer controller includes a buffer memory, located between the first and second devices, for sequentially storing the vector data supplied from the first device, n read address counters for controlling to sequentially transfer the vector data from the first device to the buffer memory and each for controlling to read out one vector data from the buffer memory to the second device, and n data transfer paths respectively corresponding to the n read address counters and arranged between the buffer memory and the second device.

  • Patent number: 4677544
Abstract: While a first access request signal is sent to a memory for a first data of a first data element number of leading through trailing elements, a register (12) holds a trailing address which is assigned to a memory unit for the trailing element. Responsive to a second access request signal for a second data, a difference calculator (13, 14) calculates a difference between the trailing address and a leading address which is assigned to a memory unit for the leading element of the second data. While the first access request signal is sent to the memory, another register (15) holds a reference number that is equal to a memory unit cycle time during which each memory unit is rendered busy by each access request signal. After disappearance of the first access request signal, the reference number is reduced one per clock cycle.
