    Abstract: An image recording apparatus has the ability to output one of a received motion image and a still image, which is selected by an image switching circuit, to an image display device. The still image is read from a memory in which an image of the motion image constructing one frame is stored. When a remote controller is used to instruct image recording, a recording mode is automatically determined depending on whether a still image or a motion image is actually displayed on the image display device. Specifically, when a still image is displayed, a still image recording mode is automatically selected. When a motion image is displayed, a motion image recording mode is automatically selected. The motion image or still image is then recorded onto a recording medium.

    Abstract: A method of sealing the cells of a ceramic honeycomb body (5) and a cell sealing material (1) are disclosed which can suppress the deformation and dissolution of the portions of the ceramic honeycomb body dipped in the cell sealing material. An end surface (50) of the ceramic honeycomb body (5), with the portions of the end surface (50) not to be sealed covered with a masking material, is dipped in the cell sealing material (1) thereby to seal the cells in a predetermined part of the end surface. The cell sealing material (1) is composed of ceramic particles and an assistant for fluidizing the ceramic particles. The assistant has the property of not substantially redissolving a binder contained in the ceramic honeycomb body.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to an inspection system for transparently taking an image of inside of a semiconductor device to analyze anomalous occurrence. First, image data obtained under infrared ray illumination are converted into a first left-to-right reversed image data in which the obtained image data are reversed left to right and the first left-to-right reversed image data are stored. Next, very weak light emitted from an anomalous portion when the semiconductor device is biased is picked up under no illumination. Then, image data of very weak light is converted into a second left-to-right reversed image data in which the image data of weak light are reversed left to right. The first and second left-to-right image data are superimposed to superimpose the image specifying the anomalous location on an image of chip patterns in the semiconductor device and the superimposed image is displayed.

    Abstract: At the time of closing a die mold, an upper die (18) is rotated with respect to screws (44a-44d) while being brought into contact with a lower die (14) by means of drive gears (42a-42d) and a driven gear (40), wherein a closing force is applied to the material (W) by plate springs (60). Subsequently, at the time of opening the die, under an opposite operation, the upper die (18) is opened while being simultaneously rotated with respect to the screws (44a-44d) which are supported by coil springs (54a-54d), whereby a spiral bevel gear (72) is released from the mold. Accordingly, at the time of die closing, the closing force is kept stable, whereas when the die is opened, imposition of a large force to the gear teeth is prevented, so that bevel gears (72) of high quality and high yield rate can be produced.

    Abstract: The present invention discloses a tape cassette mounted with an IC memory and an IC connecting system provided in a recording and reproducing apparatus for the tape cassette. The tape cassette is provided with a recess on the back side of the cassette. The recess has at least a round corner at a distal end thereof. The IC memory package has a rectangular shape with at least a round corner and with a cutout portion at a corner other than the round corner and a terminal portion on the package, wherein the IC memory package is mounted in the recess by causing the round corner of the IC memory package to be snugly fitted with the round corner of the recess. The connecting system is used for electrically connecting the terminals of the IC memory to the apparatus when the tape cassette is loaded into the apparatus.
