  • Patent number: 5097673
Abstract: Air-conditioned display case has two separate inside rooms divided by a partition having a plurality of partition members which can be individually opened. One of the two rooms is a display room with a front access opening situated on the front side of the partition for displaying the merchandise therein. Display shelves for displaying merchandise thereon are disposed in the display room extending frontwardly from the partition. The other room is a walk-in supply room situated on the rear side of the partition. Supply shelves are disposed in the supply room extending rearwardly from the partition. The supply room also has a closeable entrance and preliminary storage shelves so that the merchandise can be brought into the supply room by a work personnel through the entrance and can be preliminarily stored therein. The merchandise can further be placed on the supply shelves and, subsequently, slidingly moved onto the display shelves past the partition.

  • Patent number: 5000258
Abstract: A fin-tube heat exchanger including thin plates, tubes penetrating though the thin plates, and one or more projections formed on the thin plates to resist the flow of air exchanged passing between the thin plates with which heat is to be exchanged is disclosed. The cross-sectional shape of each projection varies in its extending direction. The resistance against the flow of the passing air varies at each projection due to the variation of the cross-section of the projection, to change the flow direction of the heat exchanged air without the provision of an external guide means disposed near the exit of the heat exchanger. Therefore, the mechanism around the heat exchanger is simplified, and the entire size of a heating or cooling showcase unit having the heat exchanger is reduced.

  • Patent number: 4951481
Abstract: A cold preserving container including an inner box forming a heat insulating chamber, an outer box, heat insulating material between the boxes, a cooling evaporating tube disposed on the outer surface of the inner box, and a cold accumulator enclosing a cold regenerative material and disposed between the evaporating tube and the heat insulating material. The cold accumulator directly contacts the evaporating tube substantially without any air therebetween and thus can be cooled rapidly and efficiently by the tube. The cold accumulator is disposed between the boxes, and thus its capacity can be easily increased, thereby increasing the cold preserving time of the container.

  • Patent number: 4928501
Abstract: A cold preserving container including a goods container space, a dish-like member above the space, a cold accumulator enclosing a cold regenerative material and disposed in the dish-like member, a heat insulating wall forming an air path between the wall and the dish-like member, and a blower circulating air between the air path and the goods container space. The cold accumulator cools the air in the disk-like member, the cooled air can fall down into the goods container space and circulate between the space and the air path by driving the blower. Since the cooling of the air in the space is controlled by the drive control of the blower, the temperature of the inside air can be easily controlled and maintained at the desired temperature despite variations in outside air temperatures.

  • Patent number: 4876860
Abstract: A refrigerator with a plurality of storage chambers is disclosed. The interior of the refrigerator is divided into at least two chambers by an adjustable shelf. An air passageway is formed by a gap between the refrigerator cabinet and an inner separation member. Air is circulated past an evaporator through the air passageway and into each storage chamber. Air collected from each storage chamber passes over the evaporator after flowing through a connecting hole in the rear of the inner separation member.

  • Patent number: 4831837
Abstract: A container for use in transporting refrigerated and/or frozen merchandise by transporting vehicle or the like together with other normal parcels and packages comprising an insulated container in which the refrigerated/frozen merchandise is stored and which is designed to be loaded onto and to be unloaded from the transporting vehicle or the like, and two refrigerating units for refrigerating the interior space thereof while at a warehouse or other facility and while carried on the transporting vehicle or the like. One of the refrigerating units is assembled on the transporting vehicle or the like and connectable with the container for the circulation of air between the container and the refrigerating unit. The other refrigerating unit is disposed on the container and operated by commercial electric power.
