  • Publication number: 20240310877
Abstract: An electronic device includes a device housing and a blade assembly carrying a flexible display and configured to translate around the device housing between an extended position, a retracted position, and a peek position. The electronic device includes one or more processors and a communication device operable with the one or more processors. When the communication device is in communication with a content presentation companion device operating as a primary display for the electronic device, the one or more processors determine a front-facing area amount required to present a controller user interface on a front-facing portion of the flexible display and cause the blade assembly to transition to a position defined by the front-facing area amount.

  • Publication number: 20240310885
Abstract: An electronic device included a first energy storage device coupled to a second energy storage device by a conductor. A thermal mitigation circuit, or alternatively, one or more processors, determine whether to draw more current from the first energy storage device or the second energy storage device as a function of a geometric configuration of the electronic device and a support condition of the electronic device. Current can be drawn from the second energy storage device situated in the second device housing, for example, when the electronic device is hand supported by the first device housing unless secondary factors exist.

  • Publication number: 20240311405
Abstract: Implementations disclose selecting, in response to receiving a request and from among multiple candidate generative models (e.g., multiple candidate large language models (LLMs)) with differing computational efficiencies, a particular generative model to utilize in generating a response to the request. Those implementations reduce latency and/or conserve computational resource(s) through selection, for various requests, of a more computationally efficient generative model for utilization in lieu of a less computationally efficient generative model. Further, those implementations seek to achieve such benefits, through utilization of more computationally efficient generative models, while also still selectively utilizing less computationally efficient generative models for certain requests to mitigate occurrences of a generated response being inaccurate and/or under-specified.

  • Publication number: 20240314053
Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for managing information technology (IT) infrastructure. Client devices interact with applications of an enterprise that may be hosted in data centers of the enterprise or as software as a service (SaaS) applications. An IT management system receives session information from client devices. The session information describes interactions of client devices with applications, for example, response time of applications for each interaction. The IT management system analyzes the session information received from various client devices to identify issues with IT infrastructure. The IT management system generates warning messages describing the issues identified and sends them for review, for example, by a system administrator.

  • Publication number: 20240311008
Abstract: A payload object, such as a JSON object, includes a plurality of elements is converted to an array file by individually serializing the elements. A header is written to the array file that includes the number of elements and an offset to the start of each element of the serialized elements. The serialized elements are written after the header. Thereafter, an individual serialized elements is read by first reading the offset corresponding to the individual serialized element from the header and reading data starting at the offset.

  • Publication number: 20240311454
Abstract: A system includes a memory and a processor coupled to the memory. The processor receives a first user credential associated with a first user and authorizes an avatar of the first user to enter a virtual environment. The processor receives a first selection of an experience theme and a second selection of at least one product type from the selected experience theme. The processor determines a first data file that provides a first benefit count to the first user when a first amount of data objects is transferred from a first data file of the first user to a second data file. The processor indicates to the first user that the first data file provides the first benefit count to the first user, receives a command to obtain the first data file, and initiates a registration process to register the first user to obtain the first data file.

  • Publication number: 20240308781
Abstract: A system includes a module configured to, for each footprint of a conveyor, identify vehicle groups having different vehicle characteristics and over-cycle distributions for each vehicle group or a back-to-back sequence of any given vehicle group by calculating, for each vehicle characteristic, over-cycle distributions for a first vehicle group having the vehicle characteristic and a second vehicle group not having the vehicle characteristic, determining whether either the number of vehicles in the first or second vehicle group or a difference between the over-cycle distributions for the first and second vehicle groups satisfies a threshold condition, and in response, cease identifying the vehicle groups. The module is configured to identify, for a received actual vehicle sequence, over-cycle risks based on the identified vehicle groups and the over-cycle distributions for each vehicle group or a back-to-back sequence of any given vehicle group. • Publication number: 20240307761
Abstract: An electronic device, method, and computer program product combine the mobility and flexibility of presenting a virtual gamepad on a touch display with tactile feedback associated with physical gamepad controllers. The electronic device connects to an external display. A controller of the electronic device executes a game application to present, via the external display, a game screen. The controller detects a first display cover configured to overlay a touch display of the electronic device and having raised contour(s). The controller identifies a virtual gamepad configuration having virtual control(s) associated with the game application. The controller presents the virtual gamepad configuration on the touch display. The raised contour of the display cover is positioned to provide tactile feedback to guide interaction with the virtual control(s). Identification and/or orientation of the virtual gamepad configuration is based at least in part on detecting the display cover.
