  • Publication number: 20160243984
Abstract: A vehicle-mounted display device is provided with a first attention calling indicator, and a second attention calling indicator. The first attention calling indicator includes first light emitting units which emit light, is located in one of front left and right sides of a driver's seat, guides light from the first light emitting units toward a direction of the driver's seat using a reflection from a windshield. The second attention calling indicator includes second light emitting units which emit light, is located in the other of the front left and right sides of the driver's seat, guides the light from the second light emitting units toward the direction of the driver's seat using the reflection from the windshield or a reflection from a door window so as to perform display which displays symmetrically along with the first attention calling indicator.

  • Patent number: 9304318
Abstract: A display device for a vehicle includes a deploying and accommodating mechanism configured to change a state of disposition of a combiner between a position of a use state in which a display can be seen in the observation region and a position of an unused state in which a display cannot be seen in the observation region. The deploying and accommodating mechanism includes a restricting unit configured to restrict an inclination, with respect to a prescribed direction, of a surface of the combiner to a predetermined angle of a ghost suppression state at least when the combiner is located at the position of the use state.

  • Patent number: 9052504
Abstract: A head-up display includes a display device and a combiner that has a rear surface brought into contact with an inner surface of a windshield of a vehicle, and reflects a display light rays emitted from the display device by a front surface of the combiner toward a driver in the vehicle. The front surface forms a first arc-shaped optical surface which receives and reflects the display light rays toward the driver so that the driver sees a first virtual image of the display light rays with a set magnification greater than 1 on the outside of the windshield. The rear surface forms a second arc-shaped optical surface which receives and reflects the display light ray toward the driver so that the driver sees a second virtual image which coincides with the first virtual image in terms of the size and position on an outside of the windshield.

  • Patent number: 9041740
Abstract: A vehicular display device includes a display unit that displays visible information and a light projection unit that guides light including the visible information displayed on the display unit to a predetermined projection surface, and displaying the visible information as a virtual image. The vehicular display device includes a guide display unit and a guide display control unit. The guide display unit indicates a relationship between at least positions of a first display region in which the virtual image is displayed by projection of the light projection unit and a second display region in which detailed information is displayed. The detailed information has an association with a content of particular information that is displayed on the display unit under a predetermined condition. The guide display control unit controls the guide display unit into a display state when the particular information is displayed on the display unit.

  • Patent number: 8950868
Abstract: The head-up display device sequentially displays a virtual image (51V) of a guide light from one end of a reflector (30) side, in the back inside of a virtual image (83V) of an opening bezel formed into a square frame displayed along an outer edge of a projection area (71) of a window shield, and further displays a virtual image (20V) of display information in the back thereof. The amount of travel of the virtual images (51V) of the guide light when the reflector provided in the head-up display device rotates is smaller than the amount of travel of the virtual image (20V) of the display information. Therefore, even if the virtual image (20V) of the display information falls outside the projection area, the virtual images (51V) of the guide light remain in the projection area, and are displayed.

  • Patent number: 8792177
Abstract: A head-up display includes a first display device, and a second display device which is provided at a position which is different from a position of the first display device. An optical axis identifying device outputs light beams, which are respectively input from the first display device and second display device, in the identical direction. An enlarged-image forming device enlarges respective images which are formed by the light beams which are output from the first display device and the second display device, based on the light beams which are input from the optical axis identifying device, and forms an image by overlapping the images which are enlarged. A moving device moves at least one of the first display device and the second display device along respective optical axis directions thereof.

  • Patent number: 7659868
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a head-up display apparatus and a cover-mirror unit used for the same. A movable member 3? of the cover-mirror unit stands up along a flat inner wall 1a1 of a housing 1a when the head-up display apparatus is in use, and lie down to cover an opening of the housing 1a when the head-up display apparatus is not in use for carrying out an up/down operation. In particular, through the down operation, by a link mechanism, a bottom end of the movable member is gradually moved upward by following the inner wall 1a1 of the housing 1a. Therefore, though the movable member 3? stands up along the inner wall 1a1 of the housing 1a when the head-up display apparatus is in use, the movable member 3? never interferes with the inner wall 1a1 through the up/down operation.

  • Patent number: 7652825
Abstract: A display includes a case and a display source received in the case, and allows a virtual image of an image displayed on the display source projected on a windshield of a vehicle through an opening of the case to be superimposed on a foreground image through the windshield which is visually recognized at an eye point of the vehicle. A cover for the display is configured to prevent foreign particles from entering an inside of the case through the opening, and allows the image projected from the display source to pass therethrough. The cover has substantially a wedge cross section so as to align a substantially straight light path of direct light from an arbitrary point on the display source through the cover without reflection with a reflected light path of reflected light from the arbitrary point and reflected twice on inner surfaces of the cover.

  • Patent number: 7532175
Abstract: A head-up display device includes a display unit for displaying information, a reflector rotatably supported by frame members fixed to a vehicle, and an adjuster for adjusting a rotational position of the reflector by a gearing system. The information displayed on the display unit is reflected by the reflector to a projection area on a vehicle windshield. The adjuster so adjusts the rotational position to allow a vehicle driver to see both a front view through the windshield and a superimposed reflected image of the information. The head-up display device further includes a regulator to allow the reflector to rotate in a rotational direction within a range where the reflector is adjustable by the adjuster, and to prevent the reflector from shifting in a direction other than the rotational direction.
