Patent number: 8789714Abstract: A plastic septic tank has a body made by rotational molding or blow molding and at least one access opening in the top. A ring flange is structurally attached to the top of the body so the bore of the flange fits the access opening. A plastic ring flange has a flexural modulus which is greater than 100,000 psi and at least twice the flexural modulus of the plastic material of the tank body. An exemplary flange is made of a plastic material which includes 5-30 weight percent glass fibers, a significant portion of which are aligned with the plane of the flange upper surface.Type: GrantFiled: August 31, 2010Date of Patent: July 29, 2014Assignee: Infiltrator Systems IncInventors: Kurt J. Kruger, Roy E Moore, Jr., Bryan J. Coppes

Patent number: 8070005Abstract: A molded thermoplastic tank for use as a septic tank or storage tank when buried in soil has a combination of transverse peak and valley corrugations in combination with one or more lengthwise peak corrugations, to provide in effect a molded-in beam structure. The lengthwise corrugations may be at the top, between spaced apart access ports, along the bottom. In one embodiment, the top has an H-shape pattern beam structure. In another embodiment separately formed plastic beams and or a combination of vertical and horizontal struts are inside the tank.Type: GrantFiled: June 5, 2009Date of Patent: December 6, 2011Assignee: Infiltrator Systems Inc.Inventors: Kurt J. Patent number: 7118306Abstract: Disclosed is a fluid, namely stormwater, management system employing a chamber having an overall substantially constant curve cross-sectional geometry, with an a-semicircular constant curve cross-sectional geometry preferred. This chamber, which preferably follows both AASHTO standard specifications for Highway Bridges, Section 18, and Corrugated Polyethylene Pipe Association (CCPA) specifications, can further comprise corregations, support members and/or connecting elements to further add structural integrity.Type: GrantFiled: May 4, 2001Date of Patent: October 10, 2006Assignee: Infiltrator Systems, INCInventors: Kurt J. Kruger, Bryan A. Coppes, Jonathan F. Smith, Raymond Connors

Patent number: 7052209Abstract: An arch shape cross section chamber for receiving and dispersing stormwater when buried beneath the surface of the earth is corrugated and has a cross section geometry which is a continuous curve. Preferably, the curve is a truncated semi-ellipse. A chamber also has a combination of a standard corrugations along most of the length, in combination with smaller end corrugation with standard corrugations, to enable joining of chambers in overlap fashion, as a string; corrugations which have elliptically curved corrugation widths when viewed from the side of the chamber; and, sidewall base flanges which have turned up outer edges in combination with fins which connect said edges with the curved chamber sidewall. A domed end cap is adapted to both close the end of the chamber and to be positioned within the chamber length to provide a baffle.Type: GrantFiled: March 28, 2003Date of Patent: May 30, 2006Assignee: Infiltrator Systems, Inc.Inventors: Kurt J. Patent number: 4941570Abstract: This invention to a case for storing and dispensing sockets from matching grooves. A desired socket can be visually selected through at least one of transparent end pieces which close opposite ends of the grooves. The desired socket can be dispensed by positioning a belt which wraps around the grooves to retain the socket therein, to bring an aperture opposite the groove matching the desired socket.Type: GrantFiled: April 19, 1989Date of Patent: July 17, 1990Assignee: Easco Hand Tools, Inc.Inventors: Kurt J. Patent number: 4746088Abstract: A plastic leg for a washtub is constructed from a flat rigid preform having a pair of spaced apart grooves extending the length of the preform. The grooves form living hinges allowing the preform to be folded into a prism shape of triangular cross section. One edge of the preform carries a plurality of tabs which fit through apertures located in the opposite edge of the preform. Alternate oppositely extending shoulders on the tabs lock them in place thereby maintaining the preform in its folded condition to form a leg. The upper part of the leg is adapted to be attached to a washtub while the bottom of the leg carries a leveling screw.Type: GrantFiled: February 27, 1987Date of Patent: May 24, 1988Assignee: Spartan Industries, Inc.Inventor: Kurt J. Patent number: 4681385Abstract: An electrical connector system comprising a cylindrical plug assembly with terminals and a cylindrical socket assembly with terminals is disclosed. The assemblies may be axially joined virtually independent of their rotational orientation with respect to each other to effect the proper coupling of the terminals. The terminals of each assembly are recessed within their assemblies and coil springs are positioned to bias the terminals into an electrical coupling relationship with one other.Type: GrantFiled: April 11, 1986Date of Patent: July 21, 1987Assignee: Dart Industries Inc.Inventors: Kurt J. Patent number: 4561416Abstract: An air circulator for an oven is described formed of a self-contained housing sized to be placed at a convenient location inside the oven with food being heated. The housing encloses a spring motor and a propeller connected to the motor through a reduction gear train. An air flow is produced from a housing outlet adjacent the propeller and may be directed in a desired direction by a rotatably adjustable air flow deflector on the housing and at the outlet.Type: GrantFiled: April 13, 1983Date of Patent: December 31, 1985Assignee: The Associates Group PartnersInventors: John T.
