  • Patent number: 9410250
Abstract: A discharge surface treatment electrode used in discharge surface treatment for forming a wear-resistant film on a treatment target surface of a workpiece by use of the discharge energy of electric discharges caused between the electrode and the workpiece, the film being made of a material of an electrode or a substance obtained by a reaction of the material of the electrode with the discharge energy. The discharge surface treatment electrode is formed by: compression-molding a mixed powder into a green compact, the mixed powder being formed from a powder of a Stellite alloy with an average particle size of 3 ?m or less prepared by use of a jet mill and a powder of a metal with an average particle size of 3 ?m or less manufactured through an atomization process or a chemical process; and subjecting the green compact to heat treatment.

  • Publication number: 20130037524
Abstract: An electrode applicable to discharge surface treatment is produced. This method is comprised of: kneading a composition including an electrically conductive mixed matter including a first powder obtained by at least any process selected from the group consisting of an atomizing method, a reduction method, and a carbonyl method and a second powder obtained by a crushing method, and a binder, the electrically conductive mixed matter including the second powder at a ratio of 10-65 weight %; injecting the kneaded composition into a mold to produce a green body; heating the green body so as to remove the binder from the green body; and sintering the green body excepting the binder.

  • Publication number: 20120156394
Abstract: An electrode used in combination with an electric spark machine for surface treatment, is comprised of a mixed powder including a powder of aluminum at a ratio of 5-18 weight % to the total of the mixed powder or a powder of any metal selected from the group consisting of nickel, cobalt, and iron at a ratio of 5-40 weight % to the total of the mixed powder and a powder of titanium hydride, wherein the mixed powder is formed by molding and sintering into a structure so dimensioned as to be incorporated in the electric spark machine as an electrode therefor.

  • Publication number: 20110300311
Abstract: A surface treatment method of a subject body is comprised steps of: packing and pressurizing powder including an electrically conductive material in a mold so as to obtain a plurality of compressed powder bodies; joining the plurality of compressed powder bodies together by arranging the plurality of compressed powder bodies to be mutually in close contact and applying isostatic pressure on the arranged compressed powder bodies; sintering the joined compressed powder bodies so as to obtain a sintered body; and carrying out a discharge surface treatment by bringing the sintered body close to a subject body and generating electric discharge.
