  • Publication number: 20210266091
Abstract: A system includes at least one reception unit installed in an aircraft and configured for tracking satellites of the satellite navigation system of the GNSS type. The system includes a generation unit for generating an expected number corresponding to the number of satellites that the reception unit is expected to track, a detection unit including a comparison part for comparing the expected number with a tracked number corresponding to the number of satellites that the reception unit is actually tracking and a decision part for detecting a jamming, as a function of the result of the comparison made by the comparison part and transmitting detection data in the event of detection, and a transmission unit configured to transmit jamming detection data to at least one user device, the system making it possible to detect a jamming of a GNSS system in an automatic and reliable manner.

  • Patent number: 8818582
Abstract: A method for guiding an aircraft during its final approach to a landing runway, whereby the aircraft is guided during its approach by aircraft position information obtained from an GNSS satellite navigation system, wherein: prior to the start of the final approach a first time tFAF is determined corresponding with the start of said final approach and a second time tTD corresponding with the landing of the aircraft on said runway, then a set of satellites is determined of the satellite navigation system for excluding from the calculation of said aircraft position information during at least a part of the time interval comprised between said first and second times; and during the final approach, the aircraft position information is determined while excluding the information corresponding with all the satellites of said set of satellites and the aircraft is guided along its final approach path by said position information.

  • Patent number: 8489261
Abstract: A device for aiding the piloting of an aircraft during a final approach phase includes a flight management system and an approach selecting device for automatically selecting an approach to be used during landing of the aircraft. A method for aiding the piloting of an aircraft includes automatically selecting an approach to be used during landing of an aircraft by selecting an approach with the smallest decision height that can also be technically implemented by the aircraft.

  • Patent number: 8416100
Abstract: A method and device performs onboard monitoring of a horizontal position of a taxiing aircraft, in which the monitoring of the horizontal position is based on separately determined height differences of the aircraft. A predetermined threshold value is compared with a first height difference calculated using repetitively determined first current height positions received by an onboard positioning device over a first duration. The predetermined threshold value is also compared with calculated second height differences calculated from two successively measured second current height positions determined by an altimeter over a second duration that is less than or equal to the first duration. A warning signal, signaling a problem with the reliability of the monitored horizontal position of the taxiing aircraft, is emitted in the event none of the second height differences is greater than the threshold value, and the first height difference is greater than the threshold value.

  • Publication number: 20100219986
Abstract: Method and device for monitoring a horizontal position of an aircraft rolling on the ground. The device (1) comprises an altimeter (3) and means (4, 6, 8, 10, 12) for detecting, with the aid of measurements carried out by the altimeter (3), an error of an indication of horizontal position emitted by a positioning device (2).
