  • Publication number: 20090306246
Abstract: The invention relates to is a crosslinked composition containing in parts by weight: 20 to 100 parts of at least one elastomer (I), 2 to 50 parts of at least one core/shell copolymer (II), and 0 to 100 parts of at least one thermoplastic polymer (III). The invention also relates to a method of producing one such crosslinked composition, which is characterized in that it consists in: mixing an elastomer and a core/shell copolymer optionally in the presence of: a grafted polyolefin, a plasticizer, fillers and/or additives, and a suitably-selected crosslinking system, and subsequently crosslinking said mixture at a suitable temperature. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the mixture is crosslinked at a temperature of between 150 and 320° C. The invention method be carried out in an internal mixer, or, alternately, in a twin-screw extruder or a Buss®-type co-kneader. Depending on the case, the resulting mass is calendared or extruded, cooled and subsequently granulated.

  • Publication number: 20080308214
Abstract: The invention relates to the use of a composition for producing parts by filament winding, which comprises at least one type of resin formulation containing at least one type of thermosetting resin, at least one type of miscible rheology regulating agent which provides the composition with a viscosity difference whose factor is equal to or greater than 100 between a high-temperature state at a C1 shear rate and a low temperature state at a C2 shear rate, wherein the difference in temperature between the high-temperature and the low-temperature state is equal to or greater than 30° C., the C1 shear rate is greater than the C2 shear rate and the composition exhibits a Newtonian behavior in the high-temperature state thereof.

  • Publication number: 20070208135
Abstract: The invention relates to a cross-linked composition comprising at least one elastomer and at least one triblock block sequenced copolymer. The Invention also relates to a method for obtaining one such composition based on a system and a suitably selected crosslinking temperature. According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the cross-linked composition can be transformed as a thermoplastic material. The inventive composition can be used in various applications, especially for producing conduits for the transfer of fluids, seals and insulation linings.

  • Publication number: 20070100071
Abstract: The present invention relates to a formulation and to a process which make it possible to produce, using an epoxide resin and an agent for controlling the rheology, on the one hand, and reinforcing fibres, on the other hand, semi-finished products for composites in the form of jointly woven or knitted yarns which make it possible to prepare thermoset materials by simple heating.

  • Publication number: 20070078236
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process which makes it possible to produce semifinished products, such as reactive textiles or films for composites, starting from two formulations, one based on epoxide resin and on a rheology-control agent and the other based on a hardener and on a rheology-control agent. These semifinished products are stable during storage but they can react together when the temperature is increased to form the desired thermoset material.

  • Patent number: 6114415
Abstract: A batchwise or continuous process for producing coagulated particles of polymer latex, involves partially or completely filling at least one receptacle with a fluid A which can be water, a polymer latex emulsion or a coagulant solution, the receptacle being equipped with baffles containing at least one orifice, injecting into the receptacle at least one fluid other than the fluid of the preceding stage, the injected fluid being a polymer latex emulsion and/or a coagulant solution, and in then creating and maintaining within the receptacle an oscillatory flow or an impulsive flow, in conjunction with the formation of eddies or of vortices.
