  • Publication number: 20220023546
Abstract: A drug delivery assembly comprising a sensor system in combination with an indicator arranged to rotate, the amount of rotation being indicative of the size of an expelled dose amount. The sensor system comprises a sensor assembly adapted to measure a rotational position and/or a rotational movement of the indicator, the sensor assembly comprising a sensor element adapted to be operated at a non-constant sampling frequency. A processor is configured to determine on the basis of measured values from the sensor element rotational position(s) and/or amount of rotational movement of the indicator, as well as rotational speed of the indicator. To optimize energy consumption the processor is configured to dynamically control the sampling frequency in response to the determined rotational speed.

  • Publication number: 20200405968
Abstract: An assembly comprising a drug delivery device and an add-on device adapted to be releasably mounted thereon, the drug delivery device comprising a rotatable dose setting member with an outer surface and at least one axially oriented drive groove. The add-on device comprises a drive portion adapted to be mounted in engagement with the dose setting member and comprises a drive structure adapted to engage a drive groove and being biased in a radially inwards direction. This arrangement allows the drive structure to rotationally slide on the dose setting member outer surface and into engagement with the drive groove(s).

  • Patent number: 10835683
Abstract: A drug delivery system comprises an indicator element and a sensor system. The indicator element is arranged to rotate relative to a reference component and corresponding to a reference axis and comprises a plurality of dipole magnets. The sensor system comprises a plurality of magnetometers arranged non-rotational relative to the reference component and adapted to determine continuous magnetic field values from the plurality of dipole magnets, as well as processor means configured to determine on the basis of measured values from the plurality of magnetometers a rotational position and/or a rotational movement of the indicator element.

  • Patent number: 10155090
Abstract: System comprising a sensor assembly (3, 4, 5, 6) adapted to measure a magnetic field, and a moveable element (1) adapted to be moved relative to the sensor assembly between two positions by a combined axial and rotational movement, the rotational movement having a pre-determined relationship to the axial movement. A magnet (3) is mounted to the moveable element and configured to generate a spatial magnetic field which relative to the sensor assembly varies corresponding to both the axial and rotational movement of the magnet and thus the moveable element. A processor is configured to determine on the basis of measured values for the magnetic field an axial position of the moveable element.
