Abstract: Apparatuses and associated methods of manufacturing are described that provide for an anti-bacterial fiber. The method of manufacturing includes adding a ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene structure into an extrusion device. The method of manufacturing also includes providing an anti-bacterial low-density polyethylene (LDPE) into the ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene at a predetermined temperature to create a combined filament. The method of manufacturing further includes passing the combined filament through a bath. The bath is configured for coagulating the combined filament and extracting a solvent. The method of manufacturing still further includes drying the combined filament via an oven. The method of manufacturing also includes hot-drawing the combined filament. The combined filament is heated during the hot-drawing within the oven and the combined filament generated has anti-bacterial qualities. A corresponding anti-bacterial fiber is also provided.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes detecting a change in a spatial configuration of a plurality of sensors coupled to an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) based on a first set of sensor data from a plurality of sensors, generating one or more calibration instructions to cause the UAV to move along a predetermined pattern in response to detecting the change in the spatial configuration, and determining a subsequent spatial configuration of the plurality of sensors based at least in part on a second set of sensor data from the plurality of sensors. The second set of sensor data is collected by the plurality of sensors when the UAV is moving along the predetermined pattern.

The method includes: acquiring at least two frames of images obtained by capturing a target scenario by a depth camera; determining, according to the at least two frames of images, relative camera poses in response to capturing the target scenario by the depth camera; by adopting a manner of at least two levels of nested screening, determining at least one feature voxel from each frame of image, where each level of screening adopts a respective voxel partitioning rule; fusing and calculating the at least one feature voxel of each frame of image according to a respective relative camera pose of each frame of image to obtain a grid voxel model of the target scenario; and generating an isosurface of the grid voxel model to obtain a three-dimensional reconstruction model of the target scenario.

Abstract: A method for isolating microorganisms from areas external and proximate a menstruating user's genital area is also disclosed. The method utilizes an absorbent article having a topsheet formed of nonwoven web material having favorable skin-feel qualities associated with nonwovens, and including hydrophilic fibers. A tendency of the topsheet material to absorb and retain discharged menstrual fluid, resulting from presence of hydrophilic fibers, is mitigated by inclusion of an absorbent core structure including suitable absorbent, open-celled foam material disposed directly beneath the topsheet in closely maintained, direct face-to-face contact with the outward-facing surface thereof. The absorbent foam may be suitably manufactured so as to have the ability to effectively draw fluid from the topsheet and retain it away from the topsheet. In such configuration, growth of microorganisms that might by supported by fluid retained by the topsheet, proximate the wearer's skin surfaces, is reduced or prevented.
