  • Publication number: 20080193248
Abstract: A goods lashing device to enable control of the tension in a load lashing strap or other flexible lashing. A number of thin, bent, arched plates that have spring properties are connected with the lashing strap for tightening of the lashing strap. The plates have spaced openings at their ends and attachment axles are arranged in pairs at a mutual distance from each other and pass through the plate openings to receive the ends of the plates. Singly, or in a packet of several bent plates, the plates are assembled onto the attachment axles with the ends of a single plate or of a packet of plates held at a mutual distance from each other, as viewed along the axial extension of each attachment axle.

  • Patent number: 5588932
Abstract: The invention concerns a setting device for adjustment of the angular relative position of two components that are pivotable with respect to one another by means of planet wheels distributed along fear tracks formed is said pivotable components and arranged to roll on said gear tracks, the engagement of the teeth of said planet wheels being so adapted that upon the rolling of said planet wheels on said tracks the two pivotable components will be imparted a relative turning movement. In accordance with the invention the planet wheels are supported so as to be allowed radial movement and means are provided to urge the planet wheels radially into contact with the gear tracks.

  • Patent number: 5462498
Abstract: The invention concerns a device, preferably arranged for setting inclination of a backrest of a seat, primarily a vehicle seat, comprising components which are interconnected in pairs for mutual rotational movement and which are arranged to be associated with the back rest and the seat face, respectively, of the seat. Each component of the pair is formed with a gear rim, the rims positioned adjacent one another in mutual concentric relationship, with the rim teeth meshing with the teeth of a number of planet wheel pairs, the latter rolling in mesh with the associated gear rim, thus causing the two gear rims and their associated component of the joint to turn relatively to one another, and consequently the back rest of the seat to pivot with respect to the seat part.

  • Patent number: 4893382
Abstract: A buckle for a straining device, having a direction-changing bar adapted for the straining device, the bar extending over an area of an unobstructed space and arranged to permit the straining device to be passed through in a doubled-over form and a clamping stop interacting with the straining device, wherein the bar is formed from a plate which is bent over so that the direction-changing bar on the plate and supported by it is supported above the unobstruced space in the buckle. Among other things, the buckle is made from few parts and which function effectively. Extending between the direction-changing bar and the plate are uprights which are arranged to maintain associated direction-changing bars supported at all times at a level above the unobtstructed space in the buckle so that a part of the straining device can be passed freely around the bar in question.

  • Patent number: 4754530
Abstract: A strap tensioning device includes a spring-loaded clamping element which presses a strap extending through the tensioning device against a holding bar using lever action. The device is composed of a minimum number of parts and is made from a monolithic plate of sprung material with cut-outs positioned so that both the holding bar and the clamping element and their mutual connecting parts are formed in one continuous piece from the plate which also forms the framework of the tensioning device. When the clamping element is pressed out of the plane of the frame, the clamping element rotates about a fulcrum and the pinching effect of the device is released so the strap can be released.

  • Patent number: 4378833
Abstract: An anti-skid device, which can be detachably mounted on the wheels of a vehicle, is simple to handle, comparatively independent of wheel dimensions, and which poses a minimum of risk of damage to the wheel housing of the vehicle and its brake system, at the same time as the device effectively follows the movements of the tire without risk of losing its hold.An anti-skid device made according to the invention comprises a number of gripping elements (201) interspaced along the periphery of the wheel (6, 7) of the vehicle, and each having the shape of a frame open on one side and with two portions extending over the tread of the tire at a certain distance from each other, the frame having additional frame portions (204, 203), which extend along the plane sides of the wheel of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 4087059
Abstract: A band reel device for safety belts for vehicles provided with a locking mechanism which becomes activated when the safety belt connected to the reel is rapidly pulled out from the reel and an adjustably mounted body of inertia operatively connected to the locking mechanism for actuating the locking mechanism when there is an abnormal change of movement of the vehicle carrying the band reel device.

  • Patent number: 4047267
Abstract: A vehicle safety belt connector has a tonque-shaped male member attached to the safety belt and having a notch in an edge thereof and a female member attachable to the vehicle. The female member has a pair of flat parallel walls with locking of the male member to the female member being effected by means of a pair of pins transversely movable in opposed slots extending inwards from the edges of the flat walls so that each of the pins, in their inner positions, engages one of the notches. A manually operable cam member serves to operate the pins.

  • Patent number: 4033594
Abstract: A deflection device for a safety belt in a vehicle with a support for connection to the side of the vehicle, a deflection bar pivotal relative to the support and a safety belt holder supported in spaced relationship to the reflection bar, and a pivot arrangement between the holder and the deflection bar such that upon pivoting of the holder the deflection bar pivots in the same direction but to a lesser extent than the holder.

  • Patent number: 4025992
Abstract: A receiving part for the coupling tongue of a vehicle safety belt with two spaced guides plates, a locking body for locking the tongue within the guide plate and being movable in a direction transverse to the guide plate, a lever-shaped lifting element located in the receiving part and cooperating with the locking body and being passed thereagainst by a spring. The lifting element has a projection with an oblique surface located in the path of insertion of the coupling tongue in front of the locking body so that upon insertion of the tongue into the receiving part the tongue lifts the oblique surface and projection and thereby the locking body against the spring out of the path of insertion of the coupling tongue.

  • Patent number: 3967510
Abstract: An actuation device for use in connection with safety belts for vehicles includes a body of inertia sensing acceleration and/or retardation and positioned between a frame and a transmission element, which is movable away from and in a direction towards the frame. The body forms part of a spacer element assembly extending between the frame and the transmission element. The ends of the spacer element assembly pivotably bear against the transmission element and the frame. The spacer element assembly comprises at least two parts which, actuated by the body of inertia, can perform toggle-joint-like pivoting movement relative to each other.
