  • Patent number: 4807927
Abstract: An adjustable awning attachable to the top of an automobile headrest and pivotable from a lockable vertical position to a horizontal position for protecting an infant in a bassinet beneath the awning from rays of the sun. The pivotable awning is on a rectangular frame that is pivoted at one end to a second frame with an arcuate upper end that hooks over the top of the auto backrest. A limiting chain is used to limit the amount of downswing of the pivoting awning and a dependable lock secures the awning frame in its upward position.

  • Patent number: 4715125
Abstract: A drilling template for accurately positioning latch holes and lock cutouts in door stiles. The template includes a pair of spaced, parallel, rectangular, frame member that are rigidly interconnected at one end. The frame members straddle a vertical door stile with the interconnecting end firmly against the edge of the stile. Clamps on one frame member are then tightened. A latch hole drilling guide is centered in a plate at the interconnecting end of the frame, and various diameter hole saw guides on removable side plates are positionable at any of a plurality of selected positions along the length of the frame to provide cutout positions for any of many lock backsets.

  • Patent number: 4685496
Abstract: A woodworking router accessory tool having a rectangular router base member having rollers in the bottomfor easy rolling against a straight edge for linear cutting. An adjustable length radius bar attaches to the base member for circle cutting, and longitunal straight frame member that closely retains the base member and its attached router for safe, long, precision routing. In addition, a short rectangular frame to which the base member may be attached permits both very short radius cuts and a guide fence.

  • Patent number: 4366626
Abstract: A board has indexed tracks along each side with parallel transverse bars having end feet riding in the tracks and a marker being laterally adjustable between successive like separated positions along the bars for setting a marking position on a sheet of paper mounted on the board by releasable retaining means to identify to a blind person the end of ruling or marking upon the paper. A disc is also mountable for rotation and angular indexing on the board with a crosspiece adapted to slide in the tracks carrying a rotatable arm with marking means adjustably positioned thereon for drawing circles and rectangles on paper mounted on the board.

  • Patent number: 4349197
Abstract: A game of identification of shapes and identities particularly adapted for blind children has a rotatable housing with cutouts and pegs on exterior surfaces thereof within and upon which a player places matching pieces from a large plurality of pieces adapted to be stored in the housing and retrieved through a rotatably locking door and a timer and manually operable bell on the housing provide for signalling completion or non-completion of matching operations by a player.

  • Patent number: 4216613
Abstract: A toy aircraft fighter including a space craft removably supported by a manually actuated turntable and in turn supporting a fighter airplane that may be removed from the space craft. A transparent landing apparatus for the space craft has movable elevator enclosed in an elevator shaft and a string is connected to the elevator to permit it to be manually raised and the elevator moves downwardly by gravity. A pivoted ramp is positioned at the bottom of the elevator shaft with suitable cables being provided for swinging the ramp from operative to inoperative position.

  • Patent number: 4192508
Abstract: A game of skill in which one or more runways for ball bearings are provided and are covered by a transparent shield and the object of the game is for the player to move the carriage to cause the magnet to attract a ball bearing and move it along the runway as rapidly as possible. The runway is a groove which is open at each end of the shield. In order to place the ball bearing in the groove, the player moves the carriage, which has a ball bearing magnetically attached thereto, toward the open end of the groove. As the ball bearing is moved into the groove, a beveled edge of the shield causes the bearing to be pried loose from the carriage, and drop into the groove. The skill factor of the game can be changed by moving the magnet in the carriage toward or away from the shield and thereby vary the magnetic attraction between the ball bearing and the magnet.

  • Patent number: 4134576
Abstract: A safety carriage for supporting and guiding an acetylene torch in which the torch nozzle can be spaced a desired distance above the work being cut by the flame and the carriage has an asbestos lined pan underlying the operator's hand for protecting it. The device can be guided along a line which is to be cut by the torch flame. An anti-glare shield supporting frame can be attached to the torch for protecting the operator's eyes and this same frame also supports an asbestos shield which is positioned directly behind the torch nozzle and in front of the pan to prevent sparks from the torch flame striking the operator's hand. A frame supporting cross arm with rollers at its ends can be used for moving the torch nozzle in an arc for making a circular cut having a large radius or a center pivot can be substituted for cutting a smaller circle.

  • Patent number: 4051758
Abstract: A bread slicer that can be used by a person with normal sight but especially designed to be readily used by a blind person. Adjustable means is provided for advancing the loaf of bread, or other object to be sliced, the same measured distance toward a cutting knife each time a slice is cut so that the slices will be of uniform thickness. Equally spaced apart notches are associated with the loaf advancing means so that a blind person can feel these notches and can move the loaf one notch at a time to obtain slices of the same thickness. The sides of the loaf are gripped during the cutting operation. A pair of guides for the cutting knife are magnetized for supporting the knife when not used.

  • Patent number: 4026173
Abstract: An adjustable device for feeding work pieces of different thicknesses past a rip saw for cutting purposes in which a guide rail is attached to the adjustable fence on the rip saw table. A work engaging and moving member is slidable along the guide rail for moving the work into cutting engagement with the rip saw. The work engaging and moving member can be adjusted to move work pieces of various thicknesses past the rip saw for cutting. The fence and guide rail may be adjusted with respect to the rip saw to cut pieces of a desired width. A work-holding and feeding member is adjustably carried by the device and cooperates with the work engaging and moving member.
