  • Publication number: 20210193295
Abstract: Apparatus, methods and computer-accessible medium can be provided for facilitating a treatment of at least one patient. For example, it is possible to utilize a data collection system to collect data of the patient(s), and a controller configured to authenticate access to a remote network, aggregate the collected patient data, store the aggregated patient data on a data storage device which is in communication with the remote network, and access a service module which is in communication with the remote network. An electromagnetic radiation (“EMR”) source can be provided that is configured to generate an EMR beam;. The EMR-based treatment system can comprise a focus optic configured to converge the EMR beam to a focal region located along an optical axis, and a window located a predetermined depth away from the focal region between the focal region and the focus optic along the optical axis. The window can be configured to transmit the EMR beam, and contact a surface of the tissue.

  • Publication number: 20210186610
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments of system, methods and computer-accessible medium can be provided for performing feedback-controlled electromagnetic radiation (EMR)-based treatment. Some exemplary embodiments include an image acquisition system configured to detect information regarding at least one portion of a tissue, and an EMR source configured to generate an EMR beam. A controller can be provided that can be configured to (i) recognize one or more targets within the portion(s) of the tissue based upon the feedback data, (ii) locate one or more coordinates within the portion(s) associated with the target(s), and (iii) control the optical arrangement to direct the EMR beam to impact the coordinate(s).

  • Publication number: 20210138261
Abstract: According to some embodiments, a system for fractionally treating tissue includes: an electromagnetic radiation (EMR) source configured to generate an EMR beam having a transverse ring energy profile; an optic configured to converge the EMR beam to a focal region located within a tissue; and, a window assembly located down-beam from the optic configured to cool the tissue when placed in contact with an outer surface of the tissue.

  • Publication number: 20200015832
Abstract: A system for performing a medical procedure comprises: a retraction device for maintaining an opening into a patient's mouth; a tool for performing the medical procedure; and an articulating probe. The retraction device comprises a tissue manipulation element. The articulating probe delivers the tool through the retractor-maintained opening, alongside the tissue manipulation element, and to a target location of the patient. Methods and retractor devices are also provided.

  • Patent number: 7097357
Abstract: Certain embodiments of the present invention provide a method and system for improved registration of image and navigation references used in image-guided operations. Certain embodiments of the system include an image acquisition device for obtaining at least one image of an object, a first calibration fixture positioned in relation to the image acquisition device, and a second calibration fixture positioned in relation to the object. The position data from first calibration fixture is used to form a characterization of the image acquisition device, which is corrected by position data from the second calibration fixture. In an embodiment, a first calibration fixture is affixed to a C-arm camera and a smaller second calibration fixture is affixed to a patient. Data from the first and second calibration fixtures is used with tracking data to calibrate the image acquisition data and register reference points in image and navigation reference frames.

  • Patent number: 4454592
Abstract: The specification discloses a word processing system having a keyboard (10), a display (20), a processor (14) and a random access memory (22) for storing data and programs. The display (20) includes a first text area (24) wherein text entered through the keyboard is displayed. The display also includes a prompt line (26) through which all input between the operator and the word processing system occurs. The system provides deadkey compression wherein the depression of selected deadkeys on the keyboard causes the automatic generation of a required backspace in order to enable the construction of a diacritic character and the display of the constructed diacritic character in either the text display area (24) or the prompt line (26).

  • Patent number: 4441829
Abstract: An improved method in an interactive text processing system for creating/revising documents by adding a multi-page insert of text data at a specified location in the document comprising displaying the document, signalling to the system the location within the document into which the text data is to be copied, specifying to the system the identification and location within the document into which the text data is to be copied, specifying to the system the identification and location of the insert text data, scanning the insert text data for INCLUDE instructions, resolving the INCLUDE instructions prior to adding the text data into the document, and copying the specified text data into the document at the signalled location. In a specific embodiment, text data up to ten pages can be copied and up to five levels of nested INCLUDE instructions can be resolved.
