  • Patent number: 10440857
Abstract: The invention provides a detection system and method of signal transmission delay for fan chip. The detection system comprises a circuit board, a fan chip and a control unit. The control unit generates a first pulse signal having a specific pulse pattern, and send the first pulse signal to the fan chip. When the fan chip is operating in a detection mode of signal transmission delay according to the first pulse signal, the fan chip copies the specific pulse pattern of the first pulse signal to generate a second pulse signal having the specific pulse pattern, and send the second pulse signal to the control unit. The control unit calculates a time difference between a time that sends the first pulse signal and a time that receives the second pulse signal, so as to obtain a delay time of signal transmission between the control unit and the fan chip.

  • Patent number: 10411005
Abstract: The present disclosure describes exemplary configurations and arrangements for various intelligent diodes. The intelligent diodes of the present disclosure can be implemented as part of electrostatic discharge protection circuitry to protect other electronic circuitry from the flow of electricity caused by electrostatic discharge events. The electrostatic discharge protection circuitry dissipates one or more unwanted transient signals which result from the electrostatic discharge event. In some situations, some carrier electrons and/or carrier holes can flow from intelligent diodes of the present disclosure into a semiconductor substrate. The exemplary configurations and arrangements described herein include various regions designed collect these carrier electrons and/or carrier holes to reduce the likelihood these carrier electrons and/or carrier holes cause latch-up of the other electronic circuitry.

  • Publication number: 20190195850
Abstract: A VOC detecting and warning method is provided. Firstly, an actuating-and-sensing module having a gas transportation actuator and a gas sensor is provided. Then, the gas transportation actuator guides a specified amount of gas to the gas sensor for obtaining plural monitored values, each of which is generated according to a result of detecting volatile organic compounds of the gas in each monitoring time interval by the gas sensor. All the monitored values obtained in a unit time period are added together and calculated, so that an average comparison value is obtained. If the average comparison value is determined greater than an injury threshold defined according to the VOC inhalation amount affecting the health of a human body, the actuating-and-sensing module issues a warning notification to notify the user to take protective measures.

  • Publication number: 20190179359
Abstract: The invention provides a system and method for detecting clock frequency offset of fan chip. The system comprises a fan chip and a control unit. A target pulse width is defined in the fan chip and the control unit. When the control unit executes a detection process of clock frequency offset for the fan chip, it will generate a specific pattern pulse signal and send the specific pattern pulse signal to the fan chip. The fan chip enters a detection mode of clock frequency offset according to the specific pattern pulse signal, generates a response signal including an actual target pulse width based on referring to the defined target pulse width, and send the response signal to the control unit. The control unit compares a difference between the actual target pulse width and the defined target pulse width to detect a clock frequency offset value of the fan chip.
