  • Publication number: 20210146385
Abstract: An apparatus is described herein that includes an elongate arm and a rotating nozzle rotationally coupled to an end of the elongate arm. An electronic processor is communicatively coupled to a communication interface of an in-line pressure sensor of a liquid feed channel from a pump providing a fluid that both drives rotation of the rotating nozzle and cleans an interior surface of a vessel. The electronic processor analyzes a digitized measured pressure signal data stream provided by the pressure sensor to provide a real-time indication of rotational status of the rotating nozzle during a cleaning operation of the interior surface of the vessel.

  • Patent number: 8389062
Abstract: A system and method for spray gun or nozzle control wherein the spray gun liquid discharge pattern is dynamically varied to correspond to the dimensions of a moving target object or a portion of the moving target. The spray gun includes inputs for fan air, atomizing air, and liquid, as well as cylinder air. Upon detection of a target object approaching, such as on a conveyor belt, the fan air pressure, atomizing air pressure, liquid pressure, and cylinder air pressure are varied according to predefined or contemporaneously generated curves to provide a spray pattern that corresponds to the shape of the target object or portion of the target object, thus minimizing waste and inefficiency due to overspray.

  • Publication number: 20110246322
Abstract: A system and method for integrating sales personnel and engineering staff in an organization includes automatically generating design specifications for a proposed system by displaying a predetermined sequence of inquiries tailored to known design parameters. In response to the inquiries, the system and method generates required design specifications and other materials, including a pricing quotation, for the designed system.

  • Publication number: 20070210182
Abstract: A spraying device that sprays of a mixture of fluids is monitored to determine whether it is functioning properly. The spraying device has inlets for at least two fluids, such as water and air, and a mixing chamber in which the fluids are mixed. A mixture pressure sensor is mounted on the spraying device to detect the pressure of the mixture. The input pressures of the fluids entering the spraying device are also measured. A formula having left- and right-hand sides is provided for describing a relationship between the actual mixture pressure and the actual pressures of the first and second fluids. Based on the relationship provided by the formula, a comparison process is used to determine whether the spraying device is functioning properly.

  • Patent number: 7134610
Abstract: A control system for monitoring the performance of one or more spray nozzles measures variables such as liquid flow rate and liquid pressure of spray being delivered to the spray nozzles and provides a sensing signal when the difference, at a given liquid pressure, between a calculated liquid flow rate and an actual liquid flow rate exceeds an error.

  • Publication number: 20060237556
Abstract: A spraying device that sprays of a mixture of fluids is monitored to determine whether it is functioning properly. The spraying device has inlets for at least two fluids, such as water and air, and a mixing chamber in which the fluids are mixed. A mixture pressure sensor is mounted on the spraying device to detect the pressure of the mixture. The input pressures of the fluids entering the spraying device are also measured. The measured input pressures of the fluids are used to calculate a predicted mixture pressure based on an empirical formula, which has parameters that can be derived when the spraying device is installed in its operating position. The calculated pressure value and the measured actual mixture pressure are then used in a comparison process to determine whether or not the spraying device is functioning properly.
