Abstract: Oil-in-water (O/W) cleansing emulsions having the appearance of a milk, comprising a self-emulsifiable composition based on fatty alcohols as emulsifying agent and an acrylic copolymer as gelling agent, useful for cleansing the skin of the face and/or of the body. These emulsions may be used in particular as a make-up removing milk.

Abstract: Liquid cleansing cosmetic composition consisting of an oily phase and an aqueous phase, the oily phase consisting of at least one dialkylphthalate and, optionally, of dialkylphthalate-miscible products, the aqueous phase containing one or more ionic surface-active agents. This two-phase cosmetic composition leaves a feeling of softness on the skin and is provided in an aesthetically attractive form.

Abstract: A cosmetic or dermatological composition has an aqueous phase and a separate oily phase in a ratio of between 30:70 and 60:40, at least one of the phases containing a surfactant, the aqueous phase containing a demixing agent in a proportion of between 0.025% and 5% by weight, the demixing agent having the formula: ##STR1## in which: R represents a saturated linear alkyl radical having from 12 to 16 carbon atoms. The composition may be used for any cosmetic or dermatological purpose, particularly for removing makeup from the eyes or face, as a sun lotion or as a lotion for cleansing or care of the skin.

Abstract: An anhydrous cosmetic composition in the aerosol form for forming a foam is composed of a propellant and an oily phase. The oily phase contains in combination at least one cosmetic oil or a mixture of an oil and a fatty substance and at least one foaming agent. The foaming agent corresponds to the following general formula: ##STR1## wherein R represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl radical having 14 to 20 carbon atoms, andR.sub.1 represents an alkyl radical having 8 to 18 carbon atoms. This composition allows a highly stable foam to be obtained.
