  • Patent number: 9000905
Abstract: A fuel system for an engine includes a fuel line that delivers fuel from a main fuel tank to the engine and a first control device that releases a flow of the fuel from the main fuel tank into the fuel line. An auxiliary fuel tank is connected to the fuel line, and a second control device controls a flow of the fuel between the auxiliary fuel tank and the fuel line. After the fuel is released from the main fuel tank into the fuel line, the second control device fills the auxiliary fuel tank with the fuel from the main fuel tank.

  • Patent number: 7940165
Abstract: The low fuel warning system includes a fuel line configured to transport fuel between an inlet port and an outlet port and a reservoir located intermediate to the inlet port and the outlet port, wherein the reservoir is configured to collect the fuel in a liquid state. The low fuel warning system further includes a fuel sensor located adjacent the reservoir and configured to detect the liquid state of the fuel and a processor in communication with the fuel sensor. The processor is configured to monitor a low fuel condition in the fuel line according to information received from the fuel sensor.

  • Patent number: 7216579
Abstract: Devices for adjustably controlling a flow of fluid through a common passage and through first and second auxiliary passages are disclosed. The flow control devices may be used for controlling the steering of a vehicle having independently controlled driven structures, such as wheels. Various other applications of these devices and related methods are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 7108096
Abstract: A control system with slow-in-turn capabilities for use with a self-propelled, steerable vehicle, such as a lawn mower, is disclosed. In one embodiment, the system slows the vehicle speed when turns are made beyond a predetermined range and the speed is at or above a predetermined level, as determined by a speed control device operatively connected to the speed control structure of a motive device by a speed control linkage. This slowing results in increased traction for achieving tighter turns and also improves dynamic stability. Two different types of rack-and-pinion steering systems capable of being used with the control system are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5357935
Abstract: An engine shut-down circuit for a gaseous fuel induction system comprises a solenoid operated three-way valve connected to the electrical system such that when a shut-down condition is sensed, a vacuum signal from the intake manifold is sent to a pressure regulator, causing its internal fuel port to automatically close despite the presence of a residual negative pressure fuel supply signal which would otherwise keep the regulator open, thereby shutting off fuel supply instantaneously, despite continued rotation of the engine, thereby preventing fuel from being inducted into the engine which, if present upon restarting, would likely cause pre-ignition or backfire.

  • Patent number: 4715168
Abstract: A height adjustment device for a front mount mower including a support frame pivotally attached to the mower deck at the point where the rear of the mower deck is supported by push arms extending forward from the drive vehicle. The forward portion of the support frame carries a pair of ground engaging wheels and the forward end of the mower deck is disposed to be attached to and supported by the support frame at one of a number of vertically spaced positions. A cable connection between the push arms and the support frame automatically levels the rear of the mower deck with the adjusted level of the front of the mower deck.

  • Patent number: 4712364
Abstract: A quick attachable and detachable mower blade assembly comprising a blade member and blade holder member having flat adjoining surfaces and fixed to the lower end of a vertical drive shaft. A pair of studs are fixed to and project from one of the members through stud openings in the other of the members. The latter openings have an enlarged portion for passing the head of the studs and a narrow portion extending from the enlarged portion to an end conforming to the shape and dimension of the shank of the respective stud. The narrow portions of the openings are located and directed so that the studs, when seated in the respective ends, prevent axial and angular movement between the blade member and the blade holder member. The blade holder member and blade member have, in addition, a central opening which receives a downwardly biased pin extending from the lower end of the drive shaft.
