A carriage slides along the rail. A hinge connects the carriage and the proximate end of the second panel, thereby permitting the second panel to pivot in relation to the first panel.

The trunk has a top that provides a generally horizontal storage support surface above desk height, and the trunk incorporates power and communication cable troughs for delivering power and communication services from an input location on the trunk to an output location accessible from a desk associated with the trunk.

Abstract: A wall system for partitioning interior space within a building includes an internal frame made up of vertical posts and horizontal rails extending between the posts. Panels providing a fascia defining a covering on the frame are coupled to the panel by plug-in connectors. The panels may include “smart” elements or fascias providing writing or tack board surfaces, or an accessory element to which shelves or other accessories can be coupled. Heavier capacity shelves can be coupled directly to the posts of the frame. Electrical and/or data connections can be provided via a horizonal rail incorporated in the skin. The rails can include a plug-in module and wire management channels extending outwardly from the module. The wall system may incorporate a pocket door built on the same principle as the overall wall structure. Also disclosed are a pivot door structure and a patch plate for fitting a standard lockset or latchset to a glass door.

Abstract: A power column providing a conduit for power and communications wiring in a building includes a column structure having electrical power outlets and video data modules (VDMs) accessible on opposite flat end faces of the column structure. An isolated electrical raceway within the column structure includes the electrical outlets. The column structure is pre-wired electrically with wiring that extends through the raceway to the top end of the structure. Pre-wiring allows the column to be installed and then connected to an electrical supply after installation.

Abstract: A file drawer is disclosed where two opposed top edges of the file drawer include pivoting rails which are movable to one of the two positions. The rails in one position are spaced for supporting letter size file jackets and in the other position support metric A4 size file jackets. This arrangement allows the manufacture of common size file drawers which can easily be adjusted for either filing application.

Abstract: Workstations are defined using a combination of office panels and bridge arrangements which are attached to and project at an angle from a spine of office panels. The office panel frames which partially define a workstation provide the convenience of power and communication cabling within the panel frames. The bridge arrangements provide a lower cost alternative defining other walls of the workstation while also providing a system which can be rearranged easily. The bridge arrangements are preferably self supporting in an upright orientation and can easily be detached from a horizontal securing channel of an office panel frame and moved to a new position.

The post preferably has a tube as the main component thereof and slots are provided in the tube for receiving hooks on the work surface support bracket.

Abstract: A height adjustable work table comprises a work surface and at least three adjustable leg arrangements supporting said work surface. Each leg arrangement comprises a curved leg supported in a leg bracket attached beneath the work surface. Each leg bracket is an open channel having predetermined support positions for engaging the curved leg with fasteners for releasably securing the leg in any of the support positions.

The panels have accessible rails at predetermined heights which can be engaged by a structural member which in turn locks with an adjacent panel.
